I’ve never been to a major, but been to plenty of PGA tournaments, and yes, the high level golfers get PGA tour marked vehicles, that they’ve earned thru winning, and generally have a different route marked off for them to come and go so they don’t have to worry about traffic and being late for their practice times/warmups and tee times. Gotta keep in mind, the people going to these tournaments are paying big bucks, especially at majors, to watch these fellas play.

In golf, unlike other sports, if you don’t make the cut, you don’t get paid. Other than sponsorships the big name players have, it’s pretty much every man for themselves.

From what I’ve seen on the sports networks is that one officer told him one thing, and a 2nd told him another. So, it was a chaotic situation. Not to mention, most of the golfers had no idea what was going on. Some were leaving their vehicles and walking to the course. Maybe the PGA needs to take more precautions to let these fellas know. A mass text to all players might be a good idea? I watch a lot of golf (watching the PGA at the moment), and what I know about Scottie, he’s a pretty laid back kinda guy. Actually reminds me of Freddie Couples. I just can’t see him being an asshole with a go fuck yourself attitude.

And was it really necessary for the cop to jump on the vehicle while he was crossing the median at 2 mph? I think not lol

So... more coming out... The cop had been suspended multiple times and written up for even more over the years. He has been written up this time for not having his bodycam on. New released video, albeit not perfect, doesn't show the cop being knocked down or dragged.
