I can only think of one reason - deception! In some cases, providers may really be trying to protect their identity, but I personally think it's better not to use any pictures than a fake one. Many should not be surprising to find out they fake, when you see playboy quality girls asking for $225 an hour - simply TGTBT. I've had a few actually tell me up front that their posted pic was not them, but that it was the closest they could find and that they posted it just so guys could get an idea of what they looked like. I didn't have a problem knowing it in advance, but don't like finding it out when I open the door to an appointment and the girl is clearly NOT the girl in the pictures. Bait and switch pics is pretty much the norm for most BP ads, where the majority seem to be agency girls. I don't think they really do it to protect the girls at all, but more likely so they can substitute girls at will.
