Default DeSantis of FL

How did DeSantis become a national political figure ? Because of the Disney issues ?

He has single handedly wrecked the FL condo market (with help from the hurricanes). He made a law that requires condos to have full reserves to cover maintenance and repairs....resulting in HOA special assessments of huge amounts.....which many cannot pay.

Many condos in other states, such as Texas, only have reserves amounting to 3 % of deferred maintenance, or maintenance that may never be needed......because condo owners don't want to pay extra fees, in advance.

Even with the huge discounts now on some FL properties, it still looks uninvestable.

Yep, and the figures show different.

Given a choice between Trump and Desantis, I will take Desantis.

From google.

Florida has seen a large influx of people moving in, with the state's population growing due to a combination of factors including its climate, job opportunities, and diversity:

2022: Florida saw a net population gain of 249,064 people, with 738,969 moving in and 489,905 moving out. This was the highest net migration increase for the state since 2005.
2023: Florida added 358,735 residents, a 1.62% increase.
2024: Florida is expected to see a slowdown in population growth, with an average of 319,019 new residents per year.
International: Nearly 30% of people moving to Florida are from other countries. <li class="PZPZlf" data-attrid="SGEListItem">
Retirees: Florida saw a net influx of over 77,000 new retirees, which is more than three times the influx to any other state.
Corporate headquarters: The number of corporate headquarters in Florida increased by 86% in the 12 months ending in March of 2023.

Florida's population has been growing for decades, but saw a significant increase in new residents starting in 2016.

Guaranteed on topic.
