UC - my post was to clarify. Viruses such as the Wuhan coronairus mutate and change - which is why vaccines are difficult to create for the virus group - which includes the common cold.
Scarlet fever is caused by Group a Streptococcus - a bacteria.
The type 19 will mutate - and not be around forever.

Talk to Dr Jen Ashton of ABC. The 100.4 degrees temperature is when you should consider getting a test for COVID-19 in addition to having other flu like symptoms.
What medical school did you get your degree from? You were self taught right?
You know even less about medicine then you do about "visible light" little oeb11.

Trying to "Out" - good luck with that.
I care less what u "think" - Little a.
U are no One to definie what I know or not - yet you prove your wn ignorance with the foolish assertions.
I recognize that is along sentence for your comprehension.
No apology.
Why don't U look up for yourself the indications for Wuhan virus testing in what community U exist in.

God, I love a good walk back without admission of being wrong.
You specifically said a fever of 100.4 would indicate COVID-19 instead of seasonal flu"
Hey Mr. Braniac, The definition of a fever starts at 100.4 and is indicative of nothing except you have a fucking mild low grade fever. The flu is the most common reason for that to happen. I'm thinking you didn't even attempt to become self taught before mis-representing this bullshit.
So while spreading DemPanic yet again in your first post, you walk that back to well okay if you are showing symptoms and maybe have now reached a temperature of 100.4, you should maybe consider getting tested.
Well, no shit talk to someone and possibly get tested. But please stop with the DemPanic bullshit of scaring people that a mild low grade fever of 100.4 is somehow indicative of Wuhan Virus.

That's just something else for the dummies to panic about. "I have 100.4 temperature! Start the car Margaret I've got to get tested", lol.

Plague is still with us. Best know for rampaging through Europe 14th century.
TB is still with us.
Cholera is also
Pneumonia
Creutzfeldt
Marburg
MERS
Dengue
Yellow fever
Hanta
Anthrax
MRSA
Pertussis
SARS
Zika
And more.
If any of you guys even think about doing contractor work in Africa, plan on a week of being a pin cushion for shots. Seriously.

Numbnuts, what was Muir's question to Dr Jen? When should you consider getting tested for CORONA VIRUS. They were not talking about seasonal flu or any other disease. So, if you have other symptoms and your temperature is < 100.4 don't consider getting tested for corona virus. In the first post infection was mentioned. When you are infected (either by virus or bacteria) one usually has symptoms. No one is trying to scare anyone. A thermometer is not a test.

It's not a test for Covid-19 but is most certainly a test. Ask any doctor what a good first "test" is for fever and what do you suppose they will tell you? A thermometer. Nobody should be asking for a COVID-19 test without more than a fever and even then, what good is a positive test going to do other than to tell you to stay home and self isolate which you should already be doing. "Generally speaking" only those would breathing problems should be going to a hospital.
Lots of talk today from multiple sources including Trump and Gov. Coumo about how we might just have to end this "everybody stay home crap" for more than a couple of more weeks unless people under 70 start dropping dead. It might be time to do what IMHO we should have done from the beginning and concentrate on helping the elderly by making sure they were isolated form the general population and continue to isolate them.
I'm 72 and I say it's time for everybody under 65 to go back to work. Don't ruin this country for those of us over 70. I'd rather die than see this country die and that is exactly what is going to happen if we keep this up for months.

Amen. This aint polio. People at the local and state level are extremely fucking this country over with their "abundance of caution" bullshit. The NBA, NCAA and MLB are culpable too.
I'm blaming the Feds including Trump but the reality is if schools are shutting down over the country, the economy is fucked. And it steamrolls from there.

We will have to let all of this run through the population since Trump did zero to prevent this. The Germans had a test 10 days after the Chinese released the Genome in early January.
We just started getting tests after Trump. Republicans said it was a Democratic Hoax, then everyone was overreacting, then they blamed it on the Chinese. Now we have to let it run through the population. Now Trump wants to stop social distancing . Goodbye Grandma and alot of the older MAGA crowd.
You guys cant keep up with your lies.

You can't either. Shouldn't you be stopping the Republican's CV Response bill? Or filling Nancy's with more pork?
Welcome to ignore.

Agreed. Some cities have the test in your car. As of last Sunday the state of New York has to ration out the tests. The CDC is slow to approve of capable private labs to do the test.
