poverty famine hunger...are a big problem for a majority of the third world counties, I'm not going to google statisticts for you.....but to assume these people without clean water and a realble food source should have the same values regarding dogs cats horses as us?.....yes they should deny their hunger pains and spend some time at petco......everybody should hold the same beliefs as regular americans ....dammit...hunger pains be damned....
that said i'm a conservative republican but I know why most of the world hates us...because we try to force our beliefs on every other culture we deal with....

I'm in no way saying that this EVIL festival is ok...but when you sit in your lexus in I35 traffic judging people that live on less than a dollar a day....it's amazing In America the poverty level is $11000 per year..... some of these people we are so quick to judge live on a dollar a day...$365

So the people raising dogs to eat because they have no other choice is
pure myth then.

If someone is raising a dog to eat that would require much more expense
than a rabbit, chicken, goat, sheep, then they are doing it because they
want to eat dog meat, and no other reason. Raising dogs to eat would
require a lot more expensive diet of meat protein.

I'm saying that many people in the world don't have the luxury to raise or farm anything. So let's not get confused in this thread that Jemma is talking about the festival and people eating dogs when they DO have a choice. I'm sure if I told her how a Parent will kill the beloved"fluffy" and lie to his children about it because fluffy has been better at catching and eating field mice then him, and Fluffy has some meat on his bones, and how it is a mother fucker watching ur kid cry due to hunger, plus the lack of water(much less potable water), lack of seeds to plant, etc. She would understand.
