bigtex, I think you overlooked the other aspects I presented other than the overall value of the Cowboys, but even that alone doesnt make him the worst owner in the history of all sports as you mentioned. that is your opinion, but you sure dont have anything to really back it up other than mentioning he is also a terrible GM/President of football operations. opine all you want, even though you dont bring anything substantial to back it up other than he has a huge ego. you are the one that made the claim first, some would call that a "hot sports opinion", but they usually back it up with more with relative facts.
like I said, I conceded that and have no problem with pitting Jerral as one of the worst in the business when it come to those two titles. those are separate from being an owner. I think its very debatable whether or not Clint Murchinson was a better owner than Jerral. I can see arguments on both sides. Personally, I think he is right up there with Jerral. But Murchingson shared ownership with Bedford Wynne. Then there is H.R. Bright . So there isnt a whole list of owners to compare in case you didnt realize. I dont think you did.
I see a whole lot of opinion and assumption on your argument and I give you facts and empiricle information. where you a fly on the wall when Murchinson was the owner? you sure seemed like you knew what was going on in those offices of his when he was making decisions. do you have any sources to back up your information, I mean you dont have to write in APA style, but at least site some sources. because if all you really have is opinion mostly, then sure in your world I cant refute that. I have heard a lot of opinions on Jerral, but worst owner of all professional sports is not one of them. it something you would get from a bitter fan.
hell we can go into baseball and I can tell you one owner here in the DFW metroplex that most people here and in baseball will argue that Tom Hicks is the worst owner. we can also go into los angeles and clipper fans will tell you Donald Sterling makes Jerral look like a saint in how he has mistreated the team and their fans.

I cant wait for the Texan's fans to be disappointed! Remember, that the Saints thought they were going to lay an ass whopping on Dallas last year and the Boys whopped that ass in NO............

as much as people have said Jerral hasnt won a superbowl without Jimmy or the players of the 90s the same can be said about Shanny with John Elway and Terrell Davis. Shanny wouldnt have been the answer either. he is a stop gap at best. I give more props to Kubiak and think he is going to be much better in the long run. thank God we can get back to real football talk.

Problem in DFW is that the Cows probably will not sniff another Super Bowl until Jerry dies, or dementia forces a retirement.

TR, based upon our previous commentary we should be able to agree that JJ is one of the few owners in NFL history stupid enough to have as the only GM of the franchise (for a 21 year period) "one of the worst GM's/Presidents in all of professional sports."
Where should I send the final document for your signature?
Geez, these negotiations have been difficult but I take comfort in knowing that we may have finally found "common ground!"

practice delayed for Cowboys today
Practice at the Dallas Cowboys stadium was delayed after a player reported finding an unknown white powdery substance on the ground. After a complete analysis, forensic experts determined that the white substance, unfamiliar to most of the players, was in fact, the goal line. Practice will resume tomorrow after Police and Homeland Security decided the team was unlikely to encounter the substance again.

That's funny Hotlips.
The problem is simple. The Cowboys have a team full of talent and a mediocre head coach (Wade).
The Cowboys cannot have a top-flight coach because he will always be butting heads with Jerry (who thinks he is the coach's coach).
Jerry has the talent to be a great team owner if he would just remain behind the scenes at football games, handle all the high level owner stuff, contribute to scouting and player development, community service and worry about being profitable.
But no, he and his ego must be all over the place, hands in everything and on the sidelines at games. I'm surprised he doesn't have a headset on during the game....maybe that's next.
Anyone know who Robert Kraft is? Do you even know what he looks like?
He's the owner of the NE Patriots....
I don't remember what he looks like.
Fortunately for me, I'm not a Cowboys fan so I'm loving this.
Do like the Rangers though....Let's clinch this muther !!!!

JJ may not wear a headset during the game but the ones who do report directly to him! Therein lies the problem!
