That's not a stunning admission or new news.

The U.S. Army said back in March that it was looking for a 6x increase in production. The cluster munitions (which arrived today) are a temp bridge that will permit focused targeting for remaining 155's and the use of clusters in non-civilian areas until there's sufficient stock to replenish.

The U.S. obtained 500k 155's from South Korea, earlier this year. The 155 has been the most requested, as its the NATO standard that works with the vast majority of NATO supplied artillery weapons.

As of Jan, U.S. production was around 14k 155's per month.

This has all been known if you paid even a hint of attention instead of trolling the New York Post.

While some bandwagon Putin-apologists whine about U.S. supplied cluster shells, Ukraine's still using $3k worth of drones and explosives to eliminate $3m T-90's.

That's a hell of a trade-off I love seeing. At least 2 more confirmed kills north and south of Bakhmut over the past 2 days. That's $6m more Russia's lost on the battlefield.

Meanwhile, the Russians have been exposed recently for giving Lend-Lease Era Thompson machine guns to some of his troops.
