Im going to cross my fingers maybe, maybe in a couple of years when they forget about it new amps will appear again. Keep a secret the last ones remaining and support the k studios.

Looking at the timeline on how all of this happened, not sure it all happened so fast, followed by the appointment of dallas police chief who was a woman of color hell bent on cock blocking all of us, the me too movement , democrats in power in dallas, the recent shooting in the atlanta amps did not help us, i believe all of this played into it and the korean amps where caught in the crossfire because they where low hanging fruit like you guys say.

Kind of wished we could have had the same conditions we did 5 years ago so none of this would have happened, dallas used to he the mecca for amps in the usa.

You’re right it was a slow burn. But I do disagree on the Democrat thing. A politician is a politician. Whether or not they were with one party or the other, they all go for the easy political points.

Here is my basic run down of how we got to this point:

We had 25/30 at least as recently as 2016/2017. I think it was probably around 2017 that they started shutting down the Emerald Road spas and Fan gave up the ghost around the same time. Then My old time favorite 7th Heaven went, after the collage started making noise about their next door neighbor being a spa. Within about a year they also ran Bali out of business. Then it was a slow trickle after that up until we got to late 2019 early 2020 then our former police chief started flexing her muscles even harder. And COVID put a nail in the coffin.

Unfortunately I don’t know if Dallas can ever reclaim its glory of being the AMP Mecca it once was. But like a fool I keep hoping.

Someone probably made the visit and didn’t find who they were looking for. That someone is probably try to get Luxury ladies to turn in or provide information of the individual they are looking for. Someone will probably search other spa and agencies until they get the person or persons of interest.
I heard owners and certain individuals are busy looking for lawyers. I am pretty sure lawyers will advise them to give up who someone is looking for.

This can potentially spill over to agencies.

I am not completely disagreeing with you except that the scope of AMPs vs. the number you give of "3000" is pretty small. If you look at the lineups of all the affected spas I would say it would be a generous exaggeration to say there were 100 workers affected.

To your point, I agree that aside from upholding the letter of the law that not much was accomplished but I also think it's an exaggeration to say that closing a handful of AMPs has turned it into a "free for all". IMO, it already was overall.

I wouldn't say they have prioritized shutting spas down over violent crime. I would say though that they should get the violent crime thing under control before they even think about the AMPs.

Law enforcement rarely if ever considers (or even cares about) the systemic effects of some of their actions. Take the women who would walk the streets around the AMPs. Last time I was on Harry Hines I noticed very few women walking on the sidewalks and down the side streets. I know most of these women are likely pimped and I applaud any efforts to address the issue (the pimping). I also know that a lot of the unwanted attention the AMPs were getting came from some of the more loud and obnoxious girls walking the streets. That being said, one has to ask what what happened to the women? They didn't simply vanish and it isn't like their pimp just laid them off and now they are working as secretaries or nursing assistants somewhere.

Nor would I. But my double link is indicative of a Department that is knowingly pushing the ''problem'' into neighboring cities. Just as D.C. attempted to do back in the day.
