Does anyone believe the Community Activist in Chief knows anything about pipelines or synthetic Canadian crude oil?

Does anyone know there are already pipelines operating safely and successfully in the "environmentally sensitive" Sand Hills of Nebraska?

Does anyone really believe this will slow down Canada from selling crude oil?

Does anyone really believe that Iran and Venezuela will step up their exports to make up for lost Canadian crude?

Let's ask Ken Salazar who just closed off one of the richest uranium reserves in the world on federal Arizona land. How's that for clean energy policy?

Let's ask Lisa Jackson whose EPA is litigating against Texas to override Clean Air Act enforcement, delegated to the states 40 years ago.

Let's see how much celulostic ethanol this bunch of dunces has brought to us in the last 3 years to satisfy the congressionally mandated consumion. (Short answer = 0)

This is the most corrupt, inept, and blatantly partisan administrations since........well.......ever. Can you remember a justice department so inept and corrupt that it refused to prosecute Black Panthers for voter intimidation, then turned around and sued a state (South Carolina) for passing a law requiring voter I.D. Never mind that Georgia, Indiana......on and on......have the same laws. Never mind that losing this case, as they well might do, will invalidate part or all of the Voting Rights Act. Same thinking that lead them to attempt trying KSM in a Manhattan civil court to placate Muslims. Same thinking that made Barry promise to close Guantanamo on his first day in office.

Ask yourself this. If Hussein Obama thinks that Boston police act stupidly, and is willing to say it on network TV, what would he say about his departments of Justice and Energy?

This is an administration that wiped $100 billion of bondholder debt off the books and gave it to the United Auto Workers. Bondholders are normally first in line in a bankruptcy, but not if Barry Obama is in office.

This is an administration that can't even get a Democratic Senate to ratify its Communist/Bolshevik appointments like Craig Becker and Elizabeth Warren, and resorts to recess appointments whether or not the Senate is in session.

My guts are gurgling. I need to go take an obama.

LilStevie also doesn't know that a "Score" is 20. Therefore Scores could be as little as 40 permanent jobs which is quite doable on this project and the resulting extra refining, transportation and maintenance work.

He didn't know the definition of "Bipartisan" was either. He won't admit that the Democratic Strategists hinting that the Obama administration will reconsider the bill AFTER the 2012 election basically throws the whole environmental arguments out the window. Yes, just the rumor.

LilStevie thinks a score has something to do with an ohzee. Keep smiling LilStevie . DAVE'S NOT HERE. No I'M DAVE!

When Stevie can't think of something to say, which is frequently, he calls everyone who disagrees with him a racist. Cheap shot, the practice of cowards and idiots.

Well let me make it clear for you. I think Obama will get beat over the head with this and it was not worth the no vote.

I also think it is a knat on an elephant ass. Way overblown. Something folks that do not know better , argue about.

In other words, if you do not realize that this has way more to do with politics than jobs, you are a fool.

Do you realize that if they export the refined product (which they plan on doing) it will not effect the price at the pump one bit.

Doesn't say anything about ethanol. Doesn't say anything about the Keystone pipeline. Yes if we export a product we have in abundance here it may cause the price to rise (or it may not) locally. Article doesn't say much of anything about environment risks. Must be another WTF "nuance."...Just keep driving WTF!
I understood exactly wtf you were talking about. The problem is you can not see the bigger picture. None of you ideologue do. When I talk about energy policy, I do not limit it to one aspect. Sorry you can not multitask. Off with your head and have your side send someone to debate with better sense.

There are a lot of people on here who talk as if our oil is nationally own by everyone. Like what's good for the oil companies will benefit everyone. There are some greedy bastards that like for us to think that way will they line there pockets with profits. They care nothing about the enviroment because with their money they could always change zip codes. Their the ones who show up on tv and tell you about the part per million of hazard waste they just released and how it won't do you a thing. They would seek to divide people based on a pipeline that they know won't benefit you in anyway. All this will do is increase there profit margin. I'm from Louisiana and years ago one of the best ways to get something passed was to tie it to teacher pay raises and education. We did that with the lottery got it passed and after that the money disappeared. Someone will benefit from a pipeline some jobs will be created I'm sure sound permanent jobs. But in the end it won't amount to much. Sad that I hear fellow American resorting to the low road on this.

Infrastructure rebuilding will create many many job to come without damaging the environment as well. Other countries have invested millions in alternative fuels wind/solar energy. Even more jobs...we are so stuck in the past it is ridiculous...and when are we supposed to realize the benefits of this oil production? 2050? Not totally against but don't throw out protections and rules...that's what happened in the gulf with BP.

. . . but, but, but, the rules and [government] protections were in place. However, it made no difference, because the bureaucrats weren't doing anything but collecting checks from the taxpayers (Oversight is needed, but the overseers need to do their jobs.)
