What they don’t tell you is that
The top 10% own 67% of all the wealth in the US.
The top 1% own 30% of all the wealth in the US.
The top 0.1% own 13.6% of all the wealth in the US.
The bottom 50% owns 2.5% of all the wealth in the US.

It gets worse if you look at the numbers globally.
This chart from Statista shows that the top 1.2% of the world's population controls 47.8% of the world's household wealth. The bottom 53.2% of the world's population, which is 2.8 billion people, only shares 1.1% of the world's wealth.
