Exactly,
I was gonna save the following for next weekend, but the coal comments here and Houston, well....
Back story:
Last year at the Sat after T-day holiday thing in town (civies) ECG and the NYCttee gal made up the below and...
None of the guys went near it. Almost all the women did, including the married ones. That vary large plate ended up being the first to run out. Women were walking off with two each to find their SOs. Coincidentally?, folks started leaving early. That was the first time (we think) the NTCttee gal hit on the local rancher. This year it's a requested repeat for next weekend, but not to be brought out till later in the evening.
Coal Cookies
Ingredients
15.25 ounces (entire package) of chocolate sandwich cookies (perhaps Oreos)
5 cups Mini marshmallows
4 tablespoons Butter
Instructions
Cookies into a food processor and pulse until crumb size.
Marshmallows and butter into a bowl; microwave for 1-2 minutes (judgement call, watch it, until marshmallows are puffed/melty).
Remove from microwave, stir in cookie crumbs.
Couple more seconds in microwave.
Break off "clumps" of the mixture and form into lumps that resemble coal.
Place on a baking sheet on wax paper to cool. Allow to set until firm.
Most importantly, deliver to your date for the evening.
