The OP had a good point....that is , you either adjust with the times ....or get fired.

Cops in the South used to be able to deny entrance to schools for blacks....they can no longer do that and we do not cry about that change. Though some did at the time. This is no different. It is just LL crying about this change!

I see the response to this incident being the signal of the end of public education. Do you think your child could get an education in a classroom with disruptive children being allowed to act out without consequence?

I know teachers who have taught in ghetto schools and they tell me that the only way they can maintain enough order to teach is to have prison/military-boot-camp policies: uniforms, walk-on-a-line drawn on the hallway floor, NO CELL PHONES, zero-tolerance-disciplinary-policies.

All the liberals whining about the school to prison pipeline, racial disparities in disciplinary actions and the lack of political support for public education funding need to consider how obviously out of control public schools have become. This incident brings all this dysfunction into sharp focus.

From the looks of it seems like you think she had the teacher at gun point and demanded ransom?? She is a CHILD for one and she is not a criminal just because she didnt want to do something. Not like she was breaking the law. Seriously. Was the consequences equivalent to the crime? I think not.
