Yeah. What happened to Destiny is absolutely 100% wrong. Like I said, if I were in his business I'd set up shoots as a trade-out. For one thing, after shooting photos like that of those girls, if there wasn't a session about to happen, someone would be liable to get shot with a trouser button. Second, like I said, it's a great business model - the providers would be my 'demo reel' and I'd rake it in from the housewives.

But if what Destiny is saying is true - and I have no reason to believe it's not - that's just plain wrong. You do your negotiation BEFORE you close the deal.

I appreciate that, Mal. A comment a guy made up above remarked on how easy it is for the girls to set themselves up to be exploited. True. So do some of the guys - how many times have we heard of some lovesick dude doing things for a provider expecting trade and it never happens?

I'm reminded of a little episode a couple of years ago. I was out in Vegas and happened to meet these two guys who shot what could best be termed "abuse porn." Real bottom of the barrel shit - the kind where the goal is to make the girl cry, barf, or both. I asked them how the hell they got girls to show up for it. Truth is that they don't. The girls think they're showing up for another kind of porn entirely, and then the guys just work them over until either they finish the scene or the girls tap out - and if the girls tap out they only get a fraction of the fee....no matter how far they make it into the shoot.

The guys thought it was funny as hell. I told them I hope that sooner or later it all comes back to them - an angry boyfriend, dad, whoever.

Truth is that in this weird little hobby/business, there are always opportunities to extend ourselves beyond our comfort zones.

Circling way back to the original topic of this thread, I've been doing this for a long time, and I've developed my own spidey senses about avoiding pimps. One is to stay away from the really young ones - 25 is about where I start getting interested. Staying away from 'networks of friends' works well, too - doubles are one thing but when you have '
