Reading this thread made me come up with a fantasy, all right...

WS finally read something that pushed him over the edge about whoever it is he's so worked up about. Shaking with rage, sweating, gritting his teeth as he reads those terrible words on his screen, he knows that it's time. Time to actually do that thing he's been fantasizing about for so long. Time to call in the popo on the one who wronged him so. Fingers trembling, he picks up a phone and dials 911.

A bored-sounding voice answers "Houston PD, what is your emergency?" WS triumphantly declares "I want to report that MsWonderHo is working as a prostitute!" The dispatcher replies "Sir, this line is for emergencies only. Do you have an emergency?" WS, a bit put off his script, replies "Well, I guess not, but aren't you going to..." when the dispatcher interrupts with "Sorry sir, you're going to need to call the non-emergency line at 1-800-I-SNITCH". Determined to carry on with his task, WS calls this number only to find a standard phone tree. About 30 options and 4 transfers later, he finally gets connected to someone who actually works in HPD Vice - specifically, the department screwup who got assigned to answer phones after a long and undignified career of bungling the simplest busts in the city.

WS begins laying out the case, but the guy immediately interrupts him to inform him that he doesn't give a shit and doesn't have time to educate some lowly civilian punk on how useless anonymous tips on prostitution are - hey, he didn't get to where he is by being considerate and likable. WS continues to try to call people in HPD, and the dismissals only get faster and meaner. Eventually he gives up, his soul broken, as the one thing he was counting on as his trump card to fix whatever problem has him so worked up has proved worthless.

No........... can't say I really know much of anything about anyone in this fantasy world. If I don't like the tone of what someone has to say I don't read what they write. There are several folks who post things up and respond to threads in a manner that I think is sophomoric, but it certainly doesn't get my skivies in a wad. I do this for kicks.
