It's not a problem for me. To be smarter and wittier than the other guy is important for many members. It makes them seem or feel more attractive to the providers. Thats another reason why prolonged ridiculous debates occur.

Do you think that you sometimes take the opposing viewpoint just to stir the pot or do you find that you generally have an opposing viewpoint?

No, I don't stir the pot just for the sake of it.

I've had a client turn into a very good friend and our arrangements became more like he pays my light bill every month and I come to see him for 30 minutes twice a month.
I've never received anything quite like a car but I have received hefty birthday or Xmas tips and have gone on nice vacations with and without my beau. But as far as accepting it, I say HELL YESSSS it obviously means you are doing an excellent job and are being rewarded for it.
Be aware that the above statement is the only way I accept gifts like that, if I'm sure that the gentleman understands that we can be friends, we can even grow to be intimate friends. He MUST understand that %99.99 chance is that we will always be a mutually beneficial relationship; we both may enjoy the hell out of it, and there maybe even be a freebee in there for good behavior.. But I'm never going to "be" with you.
I would never accept a ring or a daisy from a client I feel has developed feelings that will never be reciprocated. My goal is to have the time of my life, feel great, and of course gift those same things to my beaus. NOT to mislead and break someones heart; I know all too well what thats like. And anyone who intentionally does needs a good ass kicking; it's just not right to manipulate and hurt people like that.
P.S. Also, I would make sure there weren't any uncomfortable/ unacceptable strings attached to such a lavish gift.

Yeah it's really an arrangement. An illusion of friendship, because some sort of compensation is always hanging in the balance. Whether it be a bill being paid or a vacation or a shopping spree. A real bonafide relationship isn't about compensation it's about the connection. When two people are in love or have true feelings for one another sex isn't really an issue. It just happens, it goes unplanned. In cases like you're involved in it's understood. It's also still prostitution in a very low profile form. Because your clients may feel like they are not compensating you for sex. But instead just helping out a friend, they develope the illusion it's not prostitution. It simply is what it is. It's also a lifestyle for many, almost like a occult in some ways. Am I condemming it. No I won't condem it. But I will say it's not a healthy practice and can thwart ones ability to engage in conventional relationships.

Another note, if a client buys you a lavish gift like a car ... do you take it? I am sure this kind of arrangement would be like a sugar daddy situation but what if he is falling in love with you? hmmmmm
What if he is married and wants to leave his wife?
what if he tries to get you pregnant with the attempt to make you marry him?
Don't laugh, I have heard of this before....
Dear Hobbyist, fess up if this sounds familiar...we are all human.

Great Post & Thread
I have a current an ATF that yes for sure I have a huge physical attraction too. I believe her to me also. We both are acutely aware that there is still the business side of our meetings. That must be so, we speak often and email. We do get on really well and that is why she is my ATF. Strangely I don't visit any other ladies either since we've met.
So it not a real 'relationship' I know though that but we are becoming great acquaintances and I would love and hope for more one day from her.
Will I fall in love? There is a huge difference between loving and being in love and i called her luv as a term of endearment only and she knows that. Im sure if she thought I was falling in genuine love she would end our business relationship very quickly. I know she does not want those complications but does want we as one for ATF as well and one of her 'friends' once she goes UTR
We shall see

empire song, you are wrong. I know of one that left the escort bizness and moved in with a client for a exclusive relationship and they got married. She worked a part time job as a Hostess.
Their adult kid is a dear friend of mine.
It does happen and thats one of the reasons I started this thread. There has been exotic dancers, porn stars, escorts, massage therapist that have started exclusive relationships with clients. There has been some that left the bizness or didn't turn back and there has been some that continued working with their husband or boyfriend very aware of the situation.
The points is - we are all human and have the need of love and some type of special, unique bond with ONE person.
Anyone can achieve a orgasmn all by themself but when a person is reaching out for physical contact and affection, THAT SPEAKS VOLUME.

Sure it happens. She quit the biz which is a smart move. But it's like an Albino animal. About one in every ten thousand are born.

Yes no doubt it is very very rare.
But I also know of a provider that left to continue with her favorite client and give the relationship a chance at normality
I've also lived in a couple of Asian countries and you see the working girls marry their clients (older fat men quite often its true) A few of a these marriages to do last believe it or not
