As someone very familiar with SMU law students/graduates (no I am not one of them) I can tell you that for you to be looking there for a SD you might be either wasting your time or need to understand that the timeline for them to be a SD might be 3-5 years out.
Today's law school grads graduate with a 6 figure Debt and thats all 6 figures to the left of the decmil point.
Even if they are top of the class (in which case they probably already have a girlfriend/future wife on board) then they are going to get a job at the top teir law firms which will pay over 6 figure salaries BUT will also require them to work 80+ hr weeks which leaves them with $$ for a SB but no time.
The graduates who have the time end up taking positions which pay mid 5 figures and with the debt they owe have little money for gas for their car let alone a SB.
The idea is a solid but it is one that needs to be fleshed out.
Someone earlier said you should be targeting students with rich parents, which obviously blows (no pun intended) my theory out of the water.
If you have the ability to meet with Lauren TAKE IT - she is wonderful and has never steered me wrong.
Happy hunting to you!!

The premise was not for a SMU law student to be a SUGARDADDY, but rather a 2nd year FEMALE law student to be a SUGARBABY.
Law students, even ones at SMU, don't have enough disposable income to be a SD...

ahh - gotcha. ON those lines the talent pool at a law school while available, from experience, is thin

We will just have to agree to disagree. I'm my personal experience, there are many attractive smart women at law schools open to making some cash...

+1000. Exactly. It's not really all that complicated. Clear communication & understanding of boundaries, desires, wants, needs, etc. I think these relationships can be wonderful.

I've been thinking of hanging my hobby hat for a while and going the SB route but I'm not sure what direction to go. Do you just throw it out there? If anyone has any suggestions (or is interested that would be great! I usually see about 5 to 6 providers a month, so I don't even know if this would be enough to get a SB attention lol. I've been trying to reading all the threads (lots of info) but figured I would just post here for starters.

The concept of chasing law students is interesting. Let us get to the facts. Law students are trained to look for the deep pockets. Personally, I don't think they would make a good choice since the six figure bill they have at the end of school, will cause them to dissolve the relationship once that debt is paid and they start working on their own. An excellent example might be seen as high as one of the potential governors of Texas. Non politically, she filed for divorce as soon as the last bill was paid. Although not SMU, Harvard is not cheap. She also left him with the children. I guess that is why I don't think much of lawyers. They tend to be bottom dwelling beings with the exception of a member here whose handle is 'Civil Barrister." That one is OK

I'm just going to leave this one alone because I like you.
Though, for he record, the concept of a 2L (second year) female was brought up,specifically for the client Lauren has who wanted someone very specific with at least a BS degree or more.
I specially said a 2L because they have much more time than a 1L and will be around for at least a opulent of years. Additionally, they are usually focused on networking and meeting the right people who will help them get a clerkship in the summer and a job after graduation.
The shelf life for a SB is not that long, so to have one basically locked in for over a year, isn't too bad.

Mine has been ongoing for two years now
She started out with living with mom and step dad to having her own place and making 42,000 a year right now.
This wasn't a right now program. She didn't live for the money day to day. She focused on a relationship and said whatever she gets she gets and she is ok with that.
Well, she got an apartment, a car, a dog, clothes, dinners, travel etc..
Now I give her nothing, we became BF/GF and she is doing very well for herself..
You want to be a SB, focus on other things than money and you will do well with a daddy.
Want to be a hooker and play the P4P role then go ahead and look for another daddy when you find your first one. It wont last long.

I always think of you and your relationship when I think of a successful SD/SB relationship. Super cool.

I don't know about Indianapolis, but they are all over in Houston. Just avoid the lawyers, according to Heinz57 they are all bottom feeders (but for CivB)...
Seriously, you need to read up on what the guys think of and expect from a SD/SB relationship, read up on it on the internet and then decide if it's for you.
If it is, go for it!
