It is absoutely a part of history. As rhe West was opened up prositution was not only not restricted, it was encouragede. As the mining and ranching communities progressed and women begain to join their husbands and families began to migrate west, THAT'S when prostitution was criminalized.

Many societies did not allow female children to inheret money. Widows weren't allowed to inheret their "husband's" money if there was a male issue (child). There was absoutely no such thing as community property unless it was protected by the bride's father in a marital contract. Wealthy women's assets were lost to them when they married.

It's all there in the history books. The professions open to women were menial. Prostitution was one of the very few in which a woman could earn a signifigant income. Look at the comment above about the only place STILL women enjoy a signifigant upper hand.

I LOATHE the small minds and power trippers in the criminal justice system. My father was an attorney and my brother was on the job for 15 years before he became an ADA. I dearly love my brother, but the truth is the men and women of the CSJ live life in a cocoon and are quite literally at war with the people they protect.

I will admit there is only a thin blue line of the CJS for societies that protects us from anarchy. Clearly anarchy isn't an option, but the CSJ needs a CONSTANT, white-hot spot light shined on it.

That being said....this is not India....people here actually pay consequences for their actions....unlike Muslim law....or unless you have money and "know" people......then you pay little or no consequence regardless of whether your male or female.....though I know where LL will try to take this statement.....however, some atrocities are much more "Robin Hoodish" than others.

No, a meglomaniac (sp - better?) tends to need such declarations to validate his reign and subsiquent failures. Winning isn't easy, and therefore, doesn't require explanations as a general rule. It's evident by the win.

Interisting that you'd pick the lowest common demoninator in my list of examples to stand on. No, HERE in the States the poorest demographic is women and their children. The "average" woman as you say isn't spoon fed ambrosia whilst she drives her T-Bird 'till her daddy takes it away.

I do as well, to which I will add ... those outside of the criminal justice system, although it has been my experience that most of them in the criminal justice system are females trying to "prove themselves" by over compensating to "establish" themselves as significant. An affliction that often infects those who have been restricted in their opportunities in the past. Fortunately, those are in the minority.

But this thread is not about you, is it. It's about someone killing people working in the criminal justice system (and their family members), because the some doesn't like the laws they enforce or the that they enforce the laws as they are written.

Actually the topic of the thread was originally about HCSO's latest propaganda video about efforts to crack down on soliciting....it just happened to manifest into a thread about a few people in the criminal justice system who were apparently targeted to be made "examples of" for reasons I'm sure we'll know the full details of.
