Chizzi, your tables mean nothing buddy. Yeah I do know your SS depends on your lifetime earning, however do not forget ONLY the first 107 000 or so are taxed for SS which means any money you make after 107k or so DOES NOT help you get higher SS payout and yes the maximum is about $2800. The 107k a year limits you PLUS SS has imposed a maximum limit on their own even if you've earned gazillions. I know a lot more about government than you or Bambino does. You know nothing.

The maximum monthly Social Security benefit payment for a person retiring in 2014 at full retirement age is $2,642. However, the maximum allowable benefit amount is only payable to those who have the maximum taxable earnings in all their working years.

So how much is the maximum payout from IRA's which as anyone (with half a brain) knows has been the way to go for years.
If you've been in the US for 10 years you should have already figured that out instead of relying on the aged welfare pyramid scheme that is SS.

Well tell me if the maximum amount taxed for SS is about 107k or around that, how will they pay you more if you do not put in more? With 107k you put in about $7500 which your employer must match and that is it.

you are a moron tits..... that table is from social security not some dipshit site you used. It clearly shows if you retire at age 70 in 2014, the amount you receive is way more than 2800

You are the moron, if you retire at the age of 70 for each year you waited after 65 your payout goes up by 8 per cent because you delayed it to a total of 40 per cent for 5 years and even then I am unsure if you will hit the $2800 but one thing is sure, you will be collecting it fewer years hence it goes up every year you delay it.
