Now stop being a little bitch. Be thankful its only killing old people and people with underlying conditions and not children. It's called "life." Stop panicking.

G - even the POTUS is considering your point - and I agree with you on that point.

The Wuhan virus is out of the box - and uncontrollable

Quarantine measures are not effective - for many reasons.

Time to drop the lockdown. Offer voluntary quarantine to those at risk - elderly and with underlying disease processes.

get back to work .
China is loving what they have done to our economy!

MB - care to define the issues where the poster is "wrong"?
What are the issues, why the poster is wrong, and what should be done in your lofty opinion??
And why you consider yourself qualified to make such value judgments.

Just a follower of the lying LSM and a lover of Socialist totalitrian heroes fidel and che.

As I noted in another thread, even Cuomo, who is in charge of the state with the worst current outbreak would "rethink" the entire lockdown approach. So with that said, why make the wrong knee jerk decisions elsewhere?

The statistics show it's largely the elderly and those with other complicating conditions. Very few young and healthy are succumbing.

Okay, let's assume for a moment that Trump and other leaders in this country took your advice and rather than "shutting everything down", let the disease run its course.

Thousands die and eventually the spread of the coronavirus slows and finally disappears. For this year. Maybe we build up immunity or maybe the virus mutates, as does the flu virus, and no one has immunity to the new strain.

But let's for the moment go with your sceario.

What do you think Trump's reelection chances would be in November 2020 by following such a straegy?

What we are seeing is the Wuhan virus is very transmissible - but has a lower case mortality than Influenza A - which we see yearly and do not cripple our economy over.

you scenario above is likely correct. Although some immunity to newer strains of corona virus which emerges is posible. That may be why children andyoung parents with young kids seem to be affected less by the wuhan strain.

The political issue - When the POTUS is honest and straightforward about the situation - sentient people respect that. Trump did not inflict Wuhan virus on the world - China did - something the lying LSM is trying to help Zi and China cover up.

Given effort to develop a medical treatment and vaccine - and education as to the virus - Again - sentient voters will consider and make an intelligent decision.

If Biden is the candidate - a man affected by advancing dementia - it is a no brainer choice.

editorial - i appreciate the way SR posts respectfully. i may disagree - but it is respectful.

South Korea and Singapore haven’t shut everything down:

As for Trump, his number go up during negative events. And if you’ve seen recent Biden performances, which are few, he’s getting worse. Trump will win easily.

You mean like we have for thousands of years? It's not "my" scenario. We've used these methods of illness containment for a while.

Unknown. But the sooner the country is back on its feet both from a health and economic perspective, the better - irrespective of the Nov election. You really hate Trump don't you? I don't remember anyone asking about Obama's re-election chances when the swine flu went thru.

And last I saw, Trump's approval was pushing 49% and Bidens was at about 43%.

How that eventually impacts the election is yet to be seen, but bodes well for Trump remaining very competitive.

I don't know - Texas had only 5 deaths in the last 24 hours attributed to coronavirus. The previous day had 6. Doesn't prove much - with such small numbers other than it isn't getting out of hand at the moment.

If we only have 5 or 6 per day over the next week then with all the social distancing in place I would say we beat it and time to get back to work.

I'm really getting sick of paying people to work from home!
