I don't have to respond to your question as to what I did in my time in the military. I served and I did what I was asked to do during my time in uniform. Very true. However so many young men were not cut out for it but went when there number was called. Many of those were much smarter than Clinton and a few, even more privileged than Trump. They did their duty.

Thanks Hank.. I've known plenty of comrades in arms who were also serving out of familial tradition. BUT i also know a # of those who served, JUST To leech of it (IE getting in, milking the hell out of the GI bill and Tuition assistance, then as soon as they got their degree, getting right out).

I have heard the comment at least until things cranked up in the Bush administration with overseas "wars" and "skirmishes" and continued into the current administration ... that someone is going into the military because "they don't know what else to do" or "to get training." They really didn't expect to end up in a situation in which they might be a target.
