You've done this and it works? As I picture this scenario in my head, I don't see it going well. What might happen instead is that you are told, you pay for the time, time was spent. If you want more, you'll have to pay for more time. That's just my take on it, given my recent unpleasant experience. But just as everything else in life, when dealing with different people, you're bound to come up with different results.

Of course it works! Next time, accidentally-on-purpose, leave out one of the agreed upon activities and casually mention it at the end of your session as you're getting dressed. Say how much you were really looking forward to that particular activity and suggest that you think perhaps a discount is appropriate.

My 2 cents is that at some point in history John's might have had some say over price but when that price for everything stayed the same there abouts the ladies got wise and said "Ok, we can set prices a just a bit higher than what they have been stating" and thus the baseline was established.

Each lady is free to charge what they want for their time, up to the guy to agree to pay it. He can try to negotiate but the lady can either haggle or say no. HER choice.

If the guy is not willing to pay her rate he can walk away. HIS choice.

Each to their own and we will see who we want to see.

Personally I think haggling over price only shows how stupid the guy can be. Now if the lady likes him and does extra for her normal fee then that is up to HER and it should never be expected each time she is visited by that same guy.

Tips over the set price for her time should also be up to HIM, and she should never expect them all the time. Course that "extra gift" means he moves up on her list of "favs" and gifts need not be $$$.. but actual presents and stuff.

you bring up an interesting perspective that's never occurred to me. donations are for time. that is the cornerstone that makes things legit right? so whatever you do in that time is up to the two people. that's the scenario. so I agree if you miss something on your list then it's still between the two people and if the girl decides not to go over the agreed upon time that's up to her but either way you got the time you requested (ideally). and as you said, if you want more time...(this next part is the part that never occurred to me) however lots of posted menu's list things that are extra, for example greek being an upcharge. that's not a unit of time so isn't that asking for possible trouble? (not sure trouble is the right word. perhaps another way to ask, could that somehow negate the donation for time cornerstone?) hopefully that makes sense.

uh, I don't believe you in that scenario. I mean anything's possible but the majority nah. or maybe by magic you mean the girl disappears asap. I could see that to.
