Insult a hotel by negotiating. Anyone worried about that should pay double.

As fair as my point goes though, you can rent 3 and 4 star hotels on Priceline or Hotwire and if you join the loyalty rewards programs you still get points for your stay. And this is at 1/2 to 1/3 of the price. You may want to consider that because it does seem that your expenses have priced you out of the HOUSTON market. JMHO.
