Duh! When you're able to select athletes ranked less competitive than you life is grand!

And if pacquiao is so good why did he get KNOCKED THE FUCK OUT by marquez? You do know that mayweather easily beat marquez right?
Even the best have their shitty times. Michael Jordan was the best at his sport but had his moments too!

And if you know anything about sports and sports training you know it's OBVIOUS pacquiao has been on steroids for years.
How is this obvious? Explain....even if this were true wouldn't this mean he's not a match for Weather now so wouldn't Mayweather feel more confident now?

Pacquiao only finally agreed to drug testing because he NEEDS THE MONEY BAD to pay off his debt to the irs. He doesn't even care if he wins, he just wants/needs the money.
His debt is irrelevant to the fight...if millions were on the table and the split was uneven you would say fuck this shit too! Even if Mayweather won he would've walked out with a bigger payout which is bullshit but hey i guess you need a retirement plan backup right?

It's like jay z said "numbers don't lie, check the scoreboard". 47-0 baby!

I dont contend that Mayweather is a good athlete but to out and say he's the best when he's not willing to prove it is a far stretch. If he were the best he would have no problem defending it....just like jay-z does when he gets called out.

The thread topic is almost as ridiculous as Michael Moore calling Chris Kyle a coward. I suspect the mutts chiming in to agree with its premise might be about as manly men as Michael Moore is. So Floyd's an asshole, so what? I get that. So he picks his fights...seems like a smart thing to do if you got the voltage to do it. So his fighting style is to avoid getting hit...fuck yeah! Boxing's great fun...except for that part. A man climbs his ass into a ring to do combat with anyone of approximately his own size, strength, and ability, he leaves any part of being a coward behind. Well, a physical coward anyway. Moral cowardice is something else entirely. That covers things like insulting departed SEALs and fighters you know you will never have to face by calling them cowards.

How is he not willing to prove it? He's fought and beat all the top fighters. What more do you want?

Floyd's tried to fight manny and manny didn't want to take a drug test. Another time floyd called manny on the phone and offered him FORTY MILLION DOLLARS to fight him and manny turned it down.

They're once again in the process of trying to make the fight happen. The only thing holding it up is the negotiations between the networks hbo and showtime.

As well as Manny has to dump his promoter. I think mayweather would beat manny today. Six years ago? No.

You've got to be shitting me if you don't think there's something wrong with this. 40mil compared to the millions the fight would generate I'd say fuck you and your 40mil offer too!

Doesn't matter too much now, Manny's not so much in his prime anymore which is what Mayweather wanted.

Mayweather has consistently proven he will take on and defeat all challengers! He beat Manny and the others and everyone was used to say he was dodging. Let's face it name five guys who can beat him?

These boxing experts commenting on this thread haven't named anyone who can beat him?

That "bullshit" he makes other fighters go through is worth millions of dollars. For any boxer landing a contract to fight floyd is equal to winning the lottery. They make more in that one fight than they made before in their whole career put together.

40 million dollars is alot of money, and remember manny's broke right now, he's in no position to negotiate. Mayweather doesn't need pacquiao, he's already insanely rich.

They're still the two top guys in the sport right now. Manny's still dominating everybody he fights. Marquez was on hardcore steroids when he knocked manny out and was on the verge of getting knocked out when he landed that lucky punch.

Mayweather's master plan to elude Pacquiao forever

Next: Bob Arum says Pacquiao has signed off on everything but Mayweather hasn't

No one is invincible. Nobody knows this better than Floyd Mayweather Jr., which is why he has stayed away from Manny Pacquiao all these years. Over the past month we've been flooded by numerous reports from reliable sources that the one fight the entire boxing universe wants to see is finally going to happen. Everyone's been talking but Floyd, until recently, that is.
Mayweather recently broke his silence and admitted that negotiations have been ongoing between him and Pacquiao, but unlike everything else we've been hearing, Floyd said that the fight isn't close to being made. Floyd wants the public to believe that everyone has been lying the whole time. Doubtful. "Mistaken" may be more fitting. Everyone who's been around the negotiating table has been under the notion that Mayweather really wants to fight Pacquiao. They are all wrong.
Mayweather blames Arum for being the roadblock. What does that mean exactly? Did Arum demand a 90-10 split in favor of Pacquiao? Is Arum asking for lion's share of the pay-per-view revenues? Of course Floyd can't name specifics because the facts are against him. It is in his best interest to keep things as vague as possible and let this whole thing turn into a game of he said, she said. We're all just supposed to believe that Arum is to blame. The way things are going it seems like we're not too far from square one, in which case Manny and Floyd will go their separate ways to find another dance partner.
Nobody is unbeatable. Not Pacquiao, not Mayweather. The difference between the two is that Pacquiao doesn't avoid his toughest challenges. His four fights Marquez are evidence for this. Furthermore, Pacquiao's last three opponents prove that he does not avoid fighting any particular style while Floyd only chooses slow, plodding opponents. While Rios was a one-dimensional slugger, Bradley was tough, athletic, quick and feisty. Chris Algieri was slick, defensive and lanky.
With only two fights remaining in his contract, Mayweather will handpick slow and short opponents. There's already talk about a rematch with Cotto, which seems more and more likely. Floyd can handle shorter guys who are slow. Cotto is perfect.
Pacquiao, on the other hand, will seek the most dangerous of foes and is likely to lose in spectacular fashion sooner or later, which is precisely what Floyd is hoping for and depending on to keep his dignity and legacy somewhat legit. After all, if Pacquiao ends up losing to a lesser foe than Mayweather, that surely proves that Mayweather is vastly superior and truly never had to fight Pacquiao. At least that is what Mayweather's mindless minions the world over would be rabidly typing on their keyboards. Floyd is perfectly content with that.

Get out of the bushes and re-read this thread. We've been saying Paquiao would whip that ass, Marquez would have a good shot too now that the scales are even.

The money isn't relevant to some fighters they just want to shut the other guy up.

I don't mind to much that the fight won't happen. It's the only thing the average person knows about boxing as it is. When Floyd is gone for good not much is left out there. Very much like tiger woods in that respect. Anyway if he beat PAC now isn't he tied up for 2 more fights? There is no one left worth talking about to see him fight.

Like I said I expect Kahn next, and if he has another two fights left it will be some Mexican and then PAC.

You need to calm the fuck down before your raw passion gives you a heart attack. If I'm not mistaken Floyd just beat the shit out of Canelo a young hard hitting stud.

Zanzibar and Trey you are so right and as I recall Mayweather hasn't been knocked out yet? As for the gentlemen who noted Marquez; didn't he beat him too? As I remember it was a unanimous decision and Manny is busy with Ms. Universe versus letting Mayweather beat on him some too....let's get it right they have had years to get at this guy and nobody has yet and he is 37

For someone who doesn't like being called a "trick", you sure in the hell are acting like one; paying for this overrated pussy. Go back to try and legalize prostitution and leave boxing to the ones who see it from a neutral stance and call it the way it is, Fraud Mayweather is just that. A Fucking Fraud!
