That would actually make sense. Who really needs to see someone announce that she on some fucktard's imaginary short list or berating some tard that had his world rocked but at too high a price by some other fucktards. Plus, it would eliminate the piling on.

2. I happily offer assistance to someone if they have questions

I do not do reviews as I have issues with kissing and telling. I will be happy to share my info with anyone who may need it. It is my belief that you need a good mix of people that pay for access, people that review for access, and ones that do both. As for the lurkers, I think more would come forward if they did not get smashed, flamed, or otherwise abused when they do. There will always be some freeloaders, just like in society but, remember that contributions to the site come in many forms.

What he said. I have no reviews. I've only started posting a little bit recently. I don't think anybody is going to value my opinion or give me respect because that is not what I am after.
All that said, I appreciate the people that do post information. So, I contribute with my membership paid. If the providers can't go to the trouble of giving a referral, why give a review? I was surprised when a provider told me she didn't know how to give a referral.
I really like these boards and believe there are some good people here. I've met people offline and feel very comfortable with them. It's nice to be able to talk about anything. I'm not a writer and most anything I'm going to write isn't going to "be me".

2. I like to provide a quality review that helps the members make informed decisions on whom to spend their time and money. My reviews don't just list a bunch of acronyms. I try to talk about screening, TCB skills, incall conditions, etc.
3. It helps out the provider. Some providers use this and P411 as their main source of advertising. If I have a good session with somebody that I like, I feel it's appropriate to write that review.
4. Reviews help with the hobby checks and balances. Hopefully I'll say this in a non offensive way as that's how it's intended. I feel like if I contact somebody thru this site and they see that I'm an active reviewer then they know I'll likely write a review. Providers don't want to receive a bad review any more than I want to write one. It can really work out great for both parties (in theory anyway...didn't hold true for a recent experience).
5. Reviews can give hobby credibility. I'm active, I've seen providers, it's easy enough for another provider to verify that I've seen who I say I've seen. It can help with their screening and it helps me when I'm trying to setup an appointment. If I have a question for another member, I think the fact I've done plenty of reviews will put them as ease and they may be more willing to share information.

I agree with all of the above. I tend to be drawn towards mature, experienced providers who are all well reviewed. Even so, it is important to both the members of the community and the ladies to continue recent reviews. There for, I have reviewed almost all of the ladies I have seen.
The exceptions were great experiences with very well known ladies that have gone semi or fully UTR. I respect their decision to play in that capacity, discretion is certainly a two way street as long as we are both playing respectfully.
The ladies that are actively promoting their business have all been grateful for the reviews I have provided. I have yet to have a bad experience, so have not had to draft a NO review.
Other ECCIE research plays a great role in why I have had only positive experiences. As Tin Man pointed out, Intel comes from many directions. Comments from hobbyists in Coed or ML, comments from providers in Coed. Intel can be positive or negative. Either way, its only helpful if you name names.
Besides reviews, I am a huge fan of the Best Of threads, particularly those run in ML - they have been a key starting point of my research process. As such, I also frequently contribute to these types of querries.
The high-five comments on reviews are of little value to me, but the clarifying question posts on reviews can be helpful in soliciting additional information from the reviewer. It's also nice when others add missing contact info, correct web site or showcase links, and pictures (which I do not take in session). So I have mixed feelings about eliminating the comments. I think some good information would be lost, but then again, some unnecessary drama would also disappear.
Off topic, thanks for the avatar switch Tony. This one is much more pleasing to the eye.

While reviews can be very useful I am of two minds about them. On the one hand positive reviews are great for business on the other hand they may leave one vulnerable.
I have heard from some that reviews can set future expectations that may not be realistic since for a real GFE chemistry and mood have to come into play. What may work with one person may be completely different with someone else.
In my opinion a genuine GFE is one who seduces, entices, performs, and leaves a lasting impression that is unique. It is very much like a tango. You react to the movements of your partner and no two are identical.

I would love to know how I could possibly bitch about MOST of your posts. I 'm not on here anywhere near enough to keep up with a fraction of your posts.
In fact please show me where I've "bitched" about any of your posts. You are delusional.
I'm pretty sure YOU take more "pot shots" than anybody in your backhanded way.
|
I will not call you names, but I will show you want you asked for. I am not going to go through all your posts, but I do feel it is safe to say that you do not just takes stabs at me, anyway, here is a couple where you are directly condescending towards me:
http://eccie.net/showpost.php?p=1054366367&postcount=5
http://eccie.net/showpost.php?p=1054381378&post count=8
If you do not like how many times I post or what I am posting, quit calling me out about a post I have made and I will not respond to it, or better yet, use that ignore feature. I do not take shots at other members out of the blue by dissecting what they say and finding or making up something they see is wrong with what they post, however, I will respond in kind. I have a different opinion than you do on review writing, instead of having a mature adult discussion on the matter, then agreeing to disagree, you tell me I am wrong and/or bitch about my # of posts. If you would like to show the pot shots I have made to others, "just because", and not have said something directed at me and I responded to them likewise, I would appreciate the constructive feedback.

As much as has been posted about closing reviews to responses going way back to when men were men before Torito became the non-review club mascot and mollycoddler for the selfish, sanctimonious justificaction for not participating gasbags, nothing has been done about it. It has even been posited that closing reviews to responses would cause coed to explode with even more dumbfuckery than is already in evidence. I find that impossible, but inevitable even now. Look at this pitiful trail of tears of a threAD for the rights of the disigenous participant.
So I say STFU, everybody, and listen to the words of the wise. Post more taint.

You said I bitched about your avatar but I certainly didn't. I bitched about tony's. You neglected to say why you said that was me.
So these two posts you picked out of me picking on you or taking pot shots....
First:.
"You want to keep the good ones to yourself" I'm sure the providers appreciate that. Not like they would appreciate a good review for a good session. I mean they are just on here for fun.
And God forbid somebody write something about your review ( that you won't write). I mean that would be terrible.
This board is NOT the place for this type of attitude. But I'm sure you didn't read any reviews in making your selection for any of your 3 sessions ( that you won't write reviews for).
Yep..I am pretty sarcastic here....
Second:
So every time somebody says why they don't write reviews those of us who have a differing opinion have to post our viewpoint again? Hell if we did that we'd have 235 posts in less than a month.
So..those two posts which were pretty tame are me "bitching about MOST of your posts"
Also within this very thread I had this post:
http://www.eccie.net/showpost.php?p=1054373778&post count=42
I'm pretty sure this post was very "mature and adult" but you don't mention this one.
It seems YOU are the one that gets your feelings hurt when somebody disagrees with you. If you don't want to write reviews then don't write them. I made a very good post telling exactly why I think they are important to this site and to me personally so yes I have an opinion on those who use the site and don't contribute anything useful.
Now for my actual opinion about you...I think you're a waste of bandwidth. I think you contribute nothing to this community. I think you enjoy being obstinate. I think you are a reincarnation of another member..maybe not Tony but somebody. I think I've seen people like you come in full force, rock the boat, and then disappear.
You can have the last word...you're a have to have the last word kind of guy.
And to stay on topic...reviews are good.

L.A., Dude, guys like this lump all their detractors into one big bag, like unsorted recycling. Tony did it to me, and to be honest, I'm one of the terrible persons who busted on the animated avatar. Don't bother to defend yourself, if a guy can't keep his shit straight about who said what to whom, who'd wanna read their review if they wrote one anyway?
Nothing lost in this entire discussion but time and bandwidth. Like I said about the Marvelous one...Never try to teach a pig to sing, it just wastes your time and pisses the pig off. The joy of the ignore button is highly under rated.

I totally missed the animated avatar thing (not sure of the significance). Of course there are some coincidences playing out, even I recognize that.
Have a great Halloween all of you!

You wanted me to point out where you were bitching about me and my posts and I did, hell, you even admitted your sarcasm after posting you never said anything like that! As far as the other post goes, I highlighted the portion that you took a sarcastic shot at me, so maybe you could see it more clearly. I did not say all your posts were no good, like you have of mine with your "waste of bandwidth, you contribute nothing to the community" remark, another pot shot bitching about my posts and par for your course you stay on. Your post, http://www.eccie.net/showpost.php?p=1054373778&post count=42 was a good read and good for posting reviews, why you had to quote me above your post is puzzling as your response had nothing to do with what was said in the post you quoted. I did not comment on that because I had nothing to say about reviews being useful because I cannot see the Eccie reviews, therefore, what could I say to that? If you feel that strongly about reviewing, then what you are saying is in the over four years you have been a member of this site, you have seen a provider on just 24 occasions? If not, you are holding back on the PA members who need your reviews to see a provider for a session; you should post a review every time you see a provider if you feel that strongly about them and their value. I will eventually start posting reviews on here , but not because you or anyone else wants me to or tells me that if I don't then I nor my views on matters are worthless till I do.

I typically see the same few providers now. When I see somebody new I will review them. When it's been a long time since my last review of somebody I see regularly I review them.
You calling me out on 24 reviews is classic!
