Sometimes we use terms we don't realize offend. Once pointed out, its pretty simple to not use it in the future. The term "Hooker" reputedly is attributed to Civil War (Union) general of the same name, who loved him some ladies of the evening. To me it conjures up a street lady actively advertising her wares on the street. There are a lot more positive ways to describe the profession. Sounds like if we don't want to drive the women away, we need to not offend them.

I am still stunned when I see people outwardly being disrespectful because they can hide behind anonymity. I agree that it is “community responsibility.”

To steal things from people is bad enough, but to steal from someone who invited you into their personal space is beyond shameful. To gloat about it here and try to rationalize the wrongdoing is ludicrous. And as stated “It's out in the open, at least.” Providers can research what hobbyist on this site contribute and stay away from people who are going to steal or generally disrespect others.

As a hobbyist, I do feel this is a quasi-“safe place” to try and not get ripped off, avoid encounters and bad situations with pimps of LEOs, and hopefully find a quality provider to spend my money and time with. Other sites are dicey at best. And hopefully it provides some of those same benefits to providers.

I learned many important things in life. One was to try and be just as good a customer as a good vendor. In my professional life, I learned that whether dealing with an internal or external vendor, it was to my benefit to be a good customer. To me that means first and foremost being respectful; then there is good communication, following through on my commitments, and even when a vendor might not be demanding respect, it was better for me and my staff to treat them with respect so our vendor knew they were appreciated. Vendors that I treated like this were usually the same people that went above and beyond expectations without me asking.

Stealing and “getting confused about no meaning yes” should never happen PERIOD

As for nomenclature, a “provider” or better yet “a gorgeous young lady” who is willing to provide such an intimate service, should be shown the decency to be called whatever they prefer. It is not their “job” or “responsibility” to provide their services, it is their choice and if they decide a hobbyist is being a total wanker, it is also they choice to say “no.”

As hobbyists, it is our responsibility to show respect and support for providers and not tolerate rude individuals who disrespect others anonymously. Hopefully, providers benefit from identifying assholes on this site and choose to stay away from them. Having Free Speech allows us to see people better for who they are :-)
