You are an economic dunce. All those countries you listed are failed economies with no significant industrial base no functioning middle class, and no/little educated class that can demand change.
A better and more accurate comparison would be South Africa. International sanctions forced them to end apartheid.
LIke South Africa, Iran has an educated class, a strong middle class economy, and an industrialized economy. Sanctions are well suited to bring change to these types of nation states.
