I don't have a dog in this fight but thought I'd point out that many people live off 5 hours of sleep a night for months and months at a time...I know because I'm one of them.

Stop thinking everyone's a freaking idiot and stop trying to play the American hero card. You can save the name calling and insults, they simply don't apply.

As for standing for something and putting your ass on the line for your country. Here's what all that "standing for something" has bought you...this was shot yesterday in London. Enjoy.

How many you of gentlemen have ever went to the abortion with whomever. Im guessing not many. I find it interesting how you guys are going back and forth.

To answer the question, this is just another way for the government to have control, now having said that, forcing the lady to have a sonogram will not make a difference with her, if her intentions are clear. Period.

Thanks for the viewpoint. I'll be the first to say that abortion is probably one of the toughest choices that some women will have to make. I tend to agree with you that if a woman is clear on her intention, a sonogram probably wouldn't make a difference.

Booth, in your attempt to be clever, sometimes you run your mouth before you have any clue what you're talking about. The reason I made the statement is that for SOME women it IS a tough choice. There's also been many cases where women have received multiple abortions, using it as a form of birth control. For some of those who've chosen the latter approach, the choice may not be so tough after the 2nd, 3rd etc abortion.

DT you need to stop IMO. You have no diea how tough a decision it is for the first or hundredth abortion. Men discussing the psychological impact of abortion? It's like women talking about how much blue balls suck.

AMEN BROTHER!

And spare us the "I don't know enough about this to have an opinion" stuff. You were pretty clear about where you stood from the jump.

But I've got to disagree with you, budman33. I think the women on this board know how much we hate blueballs... it's directly related to how much we love them!

Yell, scream, demonize all you want but it won't stop certain facts. Europe is a little more open on these discussions and their record keeping. Let's take a quick look at some figures from the U.K.:
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/lif...cle6335880.ece
"One third of women who had an abortion last year were on their second, third or even eighth termination, new figures show.
The statistics will fuel the debate over whether some women are using abortion as a form of contraception."

"In total, there were 64,715 repeat abortions in 2008, 33 per cent of the total and up from 64,230 the year before.
A breakdown of the data showed 11,354 women had their third abortion and 2,780 their fourth. The figures showed 46 women had had eight or more terminations."

In the United States...The research group relied on different surveys from both government and private groups to compile its research report and it indicated that one government survey of abortions from 2001-2002 showed 48 percent of women having repeat abortions.

Now scream all you want but when someone has "eight or more terminations"...questions would arise as to why there would be a need for this number of abortions if one is practicing proper birth control.
