Your words are so foolishly and ignorantly composed that I cannot believe you understand them.

If the words are foolish and ignorant then even you should be able to understand.
Don't blame me, I was just trying to get it down to your level.
Enjoy!

It would make it much more palatable for me if Obama would just come out and say "yes" or "no" on whether or not they are going to put you in prison for not having the ability to pay the fine. I haven't heard a reporter ask lately, but to my knowledge, nobody in the administration has answered this question and dodged it every time.

the Republicans passed a bill that will put you in jail ...
Q: Could somebody be imprisoned for not purchasing health insurance under the House health care bill?
A: Both House and Senate bills would levy a tax on persons who refuse to obtain coverage. Willfully evading that tax could result in jail time under the bill passed by the House – but not the bill approved by the Senate Finance Committee

CBJ7, it is getting tiring correcting your stupid posts. Obamacare was passed without a single Republican vote. In either House of Congress. Many Republicans have since caved, but the ACA had NO Republican support.
Please, please, CBJ7. Try to know what you are talking about before you post.

The Repubs don't know how to pass a bill without a felony attached to it. Even when it is a victimless or non-violent crime, they just can't help themselves. But I'd still like to see where Obama has said they aren't going to imprison you for not buying health insurance.

Update, May 11: The health care bill that was signed into law by President Obama says criminal penalties will not apply to those who refuse to get coverage and refuse to pay the penalty tax. As we wrote in a March 2010 post on the IRS’ responsibilities, the law says on page 131: "In the case of any failure by a taxpayer to timely pay any penalty imposed by this section, such taxpayer shall not be subject to any criminal prosecution or penalty with respect to such failure

Why do you think healthy people need an insurance policy? They don't, they need a catastrophic coverage policy which are dirt cheap compared to Obamacare policies just in case they get into an accident or a life threatening illness. The way you talk you would think all of a sudden healthcare is free in America and tens of millions of people will now be insured. The reality is tens of millions of young, healthy people that do not need or want health insurance will now be forced to purchase something they do not need in order to pay for the elderly that had their entire life to prepare for, and did not.
It's distribution and socialism at it's finest. I admit, I miss the days when people took responsibility for themselves, their healthcare, and prepared for their futures.

What are you talking about free? To purchase an Obamacare policy, one must pay a premium. In our current system, people who can't get insurance where they work, if they have some sort of pre-existing condition can't get coverage in the individual market. If you don't believe me, call up Aetna or Humana tell them your blood glucose level is 250 units and see if they will offer you a policy. Health Insurance companies don't like to insure unhealthy people, that's why we have millions who are uninsured in the current system. Yes, people who make less than 400% of the poverty level (a family or 4 making less than $80,000) will get help to pay their premium. The Obamacare policy is NOT FREE. I never said it was free. It's true that the probability of a younger person getting sick is a lot less than that of an older person, but every one needs health insurance. The appendix can rupture on anyone at any age. How much does it cost to have a doctor remove your appendix, $100,000 dollars? If an uninsured person needs this procedure, who is going to pay for it? The hospital is not going to eat this charge. Last thing, the premium for a 27 year old in Texas making $25,000 is $80 dollars per month for an Obamacare policy. This is affordable. You don't have a plan to insure the uninsured, so go back and continue to tell your doctors who they can and cannot see. Obamacare is going in. If you don't need it, good for you.

Didn't mean to throw you into a tirade. As I said, I only thought you were trying to say it was free. I certainly have no problem with anyone purchasing health insurance if they want it. Going back to my original point, an affordable policy at $80/mo if no doctor will see you, is the same as having no insurance at all, but you will still be able to get care at the ER.

I already proved you wrong, CBJ7, AGAIN! You were blaming the Republicans. Of the many stupid bills for which Republicans can be blamed, Obamacare is not one of them. You were wrong, and no amount of your pontificating (look it up) will change that.
And Fluffy, do you really think that the only way to make sure everyone has access to healthcare is for everyone to release all of their personal information, down to the smallest and most intimate detail, to the IRS? Sad. Statist brainwashing at its finest.
It's not about healthcare. Never has been. It is about government control.
