I charge $300 and I feel that a woman that charges this amount should not get tipped; she is being paid to go above and beyond. A $300 escort should be renting a nice hotel, have candles laid out, dressed in lingerie & heels, have her hair and make up done, have soft music playing in the background, she should perform excellent customer service and cater, cater, cater. That is her job description. $300 is a lot of money, you do not need to tip.
My clients always tip me and I don't understand it. Last week someone left $400 and I texted him with "Hey you left $100 extra, take it off your next visit." Which he declined to do. 2 weeks ago someone left $500 for the same reason. You guys are crazy, Lol. Dropping that much money on one hour of time, I love you, but you're crazy. haha!
I went from being a waitress at Steak N Shake busting my ass on a busy Friday night to earn $100. So yea, I make ~$120k a year now with this job... so I'm very generous with tipping when a tip should be given; Pizza delivery people always get $10. Waitresses get around 40% unless they SUCK then they get a lot less; I tip drive-thru people when they are super nice. I love love love making them feel good. One guy started crying, I kid you not, when I gave him $20.
During Christmas I always give bigger tips than I normally give. Last week I tipped a pregnant lady at a drive-thru $100. I got that from my mom because she always does that kind of stuff too. Try it, it gives you an awesome high!

Exactly. I agree, but I still can't stand to see anyone put down even if its indirectly for charging a lower rate, this business is so personal, and we have so many personal driving forces and motivations you would think that a fellow provider would be more considerate of that. Some believe low rates drive business down, but I do not believe that. I believe that your personal reputation is the only relevant factor to what patronage you receive or do not receive....
Just a comment though on your tipping, as a recovering overtipper myself, I had to realize that though money is more plentiful now than it was before, stop and add up all of the overtippage, at the end of the year if you had invested that, it is pretty significant.
Just a thought.

Paying it forward
Dear Abby,
You obviously have made these gentlemen extremely happy, to the extent they desired to give you generous tips. And you then have decided to pay it forward to the coffee guy and the waitress earning crap and the pregnant woman working the window. You are an honorable and stellar person. I know I am humbled by your actions as I am sure others here are too. I know I will rethink how I tip or treat others when I have received a nice fee for me services rendered so that I may pay it forward. I hope others will do the same.
I was in a grocery store today and met a peer/competitor. I introduced my wife and we talked with us asking each other how things were. She revealed that her daughter suffers from epileptic seizures. My wife has a medical background so they ended up talking a bunch. My friend had said that they have been dealing her issues for 15 years and this Thanksgiving for some reason the daughter had been worse than others. She dealt with the daughter and thanksgiving meal preparations with trepidation. And did this with her head held high and she said others go through worse. It blew me away. She probably need someone (us) to listen and let her get it out. We hugged her at the end. As they say there but for the 'grace of God go I.' Never forget how lucky we all are (on eccie).
So Abby, more power to you. Though we may never meet (you're officially on my bucket list now), I am so happy you posted here.
Warmly,
SR Only

GREAT ATTITUDE TOWARDS OUR CLIENTS!!! BE BLESSED TO BLESS OTHERS!
Amen Abby! Your good heartedness & attitude attributes to those big tips that you get. I love your thinking on the customer service aspect towards the wonderful men that spend a large amount their hard earned money on us providers. I was shocked to hear from one of my clients, a new gentlemen, that told me the providers he has seen never greet him dressed in a sexy outfit, let alone lingerie, just sweats.
I believe that these gentlemen are my bread & butter who chose me to spend their $ on w/so many choices out there. I'm so grateful that I do go out of my way to treat them like VIP.
I do like to tip people well but you have inspired me to do better and to tip even outside of just my waitress or hotel maid....and more so to increase those tips during Christmas Holidays.
Thank you for having a heart for people!

DG, I would venture to guess that you were right. Though not all women are made alike, nor again are all companions of the same mind - it seems to me that many of us have been in some aspect of the service industry at one time or another. Most of us who have been do tip on the high side. I don't ever tip below 20% at a restaurant (even when I think the service sometimes warrants it - but then this is a habit, just as low-tipping is a different kind of habit). I know that my close friends always think I'm crazy when I tip when I order drinks at a bar (I always tip 2-5 dollars a drink) - but then, none of them have been servers of any sort themselves and don't understand how service people make their money. (I believe the base salary for a food/cocktail server was somewhere around 2 dollars an hour in CO the last time I checked - admittedly, at least 4 or 5 years ago, but still...)
In regards to monetary tips for providers, I don't think I've ever received one. But I have received the most thoughtful gifts and gestures which still remind me of the person each time I see them... sometimes I place them in prominent places to remind me of the really wonderful people in the world that I'm lucky enough to know. It's also a way to have something very romantic and private out in full view without sacrificing any kind of confidence (for either party). Granted, this doesn't hold true for lingerie, but honestly, my favorite gifts to date have been those pieces that I can wear out into the world or can be placed in a special spot on a coffe table or work-desk.
I can only speak for myself, but any kind of gift is always appreciated, as it means that the individual has put some thought and energy into who I am as an individual, and what I might like as a gift - and that's always deeply touching. But though it has become a bit of a cliche - the statement that gifts are appreciated but never expected is definitely true in my case - and I'm sure that's it's true for many of my contemporaries as well.
xoxo,
Lily

I have never really felt comfortable with the idea of leaving a tip, as I leave my gift in an envelope before we start, and the idea of adding to it somehow later seems imprudent at best, and borderline rude as well.
This is actually difficult for me, as I did tend bar and wait tables in High School and College (undergrad, that is) and I leave overly large tips all the time, and want to be appreciative of my companions. So, my dear ladies, how does one graciously and circumspectly thanks his date for an above average evening? Other than by seeing the lovely lady again and placing a "bonus" in her gift bag?
This enquiring mind wants to know....
|
I may be jumping in prematurely as I haven't read the whole thread yet... but I just wanted to say that sometimes, asking a lady what she might appreciate as a gift is wonderfully thoughtful and considerate solution to this dilemma. Usually, if the experience was so wonderful that it warrants something extra in your opinion, I would tend to believe that the lady would already have been a sensitive and generous soul in her own way and would not abuse the question (as might another provider cut of a different cloth). Still, this is an assumption on my part - I'm certainly open to hearing other responses (perhaps I will as I read on), but this is definitely my personal feeling on the matter. Hope it helps!
xo,
Lily

- Although the ladies' who have ads/websites that I see almost universally say, "tips are never expected but always appreciated" or some such language, the above quotations seem to indicate ladies, do, in fact, expect tips.
- Although a lot of ladies are listed on P411, the vast majority do not offer a discount to P411 hobbyists.
- Apparently, from the quotes above, the providers here feel that even when tips are given, they tend to be low.
- If these ladies really believe they aren't being sufficiently tipped, why don't they raise their rates?
- Or, why don't they offer a discount and hope the hobbyists tip the amount of the discount?

I'm a no BS person...I don't write or say things I don't mean. I say so when I say tips are appreciated but never expected/required I mean that. Whether I'd like them or not of course is something else.
I give a small discount to p411 members on "upgraded" things. My rates are the way they are that if i'm not tipped...oh well lol.
