Just like anything else, you have to put the effort in and like Lauren said put in time-in-grade. I’ve always had a “day job”, but I work for myself in my day job too. There are three very important things you must do: advertise, track how much you make and not waste money. Advertising is easy; the other two are harder but equally important.
It’s not as easy as sitting around by the phone waiting for it to ring. There are so many more things that go into this than, shall we say, close contact with gentlemen. We provide intimacy in a bubble. It may be a fantasyland bubble, but that doesn’t mean the intimacy is. Good luck to you whatever you decide to do.

not forget the screening process and the "how to do outcalls and where to do incalls". I would personally NEVER do an incall in my own appartement even if it saves you a dime or two. Many ladies do that. Its way too dangerous . (On top of it i don`t want to have clients in my private bed..)
and get educated about safe sex and STDs. and how to avoid them thouroughly!

From a fun blog. Today's post is quite relevant.
http://alexlieberman.wordpress.com/2...ry-met-smelly/
Surfer girl you MUST protect yourself. You cannot have men (or women) coming to your home and personal space. Think stalkers and those willing to harm you and not just the physical but mental. Google your suitors. If Texas has a Judicial search use it (Connecticut does, for my biz it is really important. But then there's the fun of looking up your neighbors liens, divorces, and other suits).

Not to be too flippant on a hooker board, but the only way is abstinence. Just sayin'.

Incalls are not inherently dangerous. Many gals prefer them. I think the point is to not use your home as an incall but to make it a separate space altogether. The risk I can think of with an incall is that if a guy is at your place there is nothing that links him to it, while if you are at his hotel or house he has far more risk if he wants to harm you. So screen, screen, screen, and screen some more. Be aware that the more information you request there will be fewer gents who will choose to provide it, but you need to figure out what you are comfortable with and then stick to it.
When you can use P411, date-check, RS2K; all are reputable third party screening.

incalls not in hotels that is or in unsafe hotels. I just surfed statistics on murders for escorts and since we are in the business that is one of the most dangerous ones on this planet, we have to be careful. Most statistics show that escorts get murdered in their own home mostly with their own weapons they bought to defend themselves. During sleep or whatnot.
You do not want a client to know where you live. You only need ONE jerk to find out where you live, stalk you, rob you, kill you and do all sorts of not so nice things to you.Even if the rest is nice. a five start hotel offers SOME sort of security. While in your home you have none. PRIVACY IS A MUST!!! Keep your private life private!!
Some clients have the tendency to invade escorts privatesphere but don`t you dare to do the same to them :-). I had clients calling me on my private phone (that i only gave to them for this ONE time when we particularly agreed on...i never give out a phone number most of the time....) and then calling again in the middle of the fucking night on some random other day and whatnot...and i really got angry and told them i would not call them too when they are sleeping.
In the case of Julissa Brismann i kind of choked a little , since she was working out of a hotel i frequented to im Boston. Such incidents - however sad - are rare. The guy was a real nut. and got caught. But that did not help her either.
When i tour i frequent hotels (good ones no motels) . Do remember that not all clients are nice. Some might even be robbers and come to you for that purpose. Yes yes and screening does not help all of the time either...;-).
so its just to eliminate risk factors - especially since you are a newbie!

Very well said. I have 3 incalls in New Orleans and none of them are my actual home. It is not wise on any level to entertain in your personal home, especially if you have children who reside there. We won't even get into the past misdemeanor charges that could come from that, other than the obvious, possible psychos who know where you sleep at night.

yes that is good too. but some are working from their HOMES, that is what i meant. Incalls in hotels or actual incall locations are great!!! I forgot that option ... sorry ;-)

Good point. This profession has the highest occupational mortality rate, so it's good to take lots of precaution.
Quick question: How about maintaining your current client base instead of getting new clients? Each time you get a new client, you assume a huge risk. So, wouldn't it be advisable to instead focus on retaining clients?

As with all enterprises, repeat clients are a very good thing. Of course you should focus on retaining clients. But ....
1. You need to first have clients
2. In all enterprises, and more so in this one than most, repeat clients move on so you need to be able to have some that will replenish them.
