So from the glib responses in this thread, it appears that the consensus is that you support Trump’s dismal, deplorable record on human rights, and anything else counter to our values as long as it rings the register.

Quite Trumpian.
Smh
Come Election Day, nobody gives a shit about a reporter who got his ass in a crack as long as there is enough cash to afford Netflix and pay the next phone bill.
I am aware it's a terrible thing. But with billions of dollars on the line. (and the jobs it brings), one person's life just doesn't amount to much.

That's just the way it is.

Especially when that individual's *journalistic endeavors* were nothing more than propagandist tracts for Islamic militantism.
So it appears that Trump’s “severe punishments” include not allowing Steve Mnuchin to attend an economic summit with the Saudis.
He punished the Saudis AND saved us the embarrassment of spending millions of taxpayer dollars flying a fat cat around the world in the manner to which he is accustomed.
Well played, Il Douche! We’ve got those dictators on the run now!

Yeah, most people have no clue that MBS was trying to reform Saudi Arabia. Tamp down Wahhabism, granting women’s rights and were a buffer against Iran. All good things. Kashoggie was against all of these things. His was tight with Bin Laden. He was a bad actor. The MSM doesn’t give a fuck about him. Yeah, the royal family ducked this up. But they’re used to doing shit like this. They’re still publicly beheading people. Old habits die hard. Our government has been doing business with worse. Like, Stalin in WWII.
Has Bezos responded yet? Hard to get worked up about a dead journalist so I have not kept up. Supposedly Amazon is trying to work out a Saudi Arabia deal and the guy worked for Bezos at the Washington Post.
The whole thing sounds fishy. Why show up at an embassy for some "wedding license", have a bunch of operatives waiting for you, get killed, have a recording of it and it become an international incident. IMO, the "journalist" must have been a double agent.
Funny, how the Democrats don't want a war but want a war. But lets push the price of oil over $100 a barrel and make President Trump look bad because of some "values" delusion.
