Come on BT, where's your faith?
Quarterback play, running game, turnovers and defense. That's what I will be looking at. If you look at Cat-Mans comparison, we have them beat in most categories. The 610 guys also went through each segment (OL, running backs, receivers, ect) & we had them beat in most categories as well.
How will Baltimore respond after a lay-off? Rusty or well rested?
Rub, if you're taking all the dogs like me, you won't have the Saints, they're favored my man....

C'mon Bro, you know I havn't wavered! I don't predict the final score based upon what I am hoping for. I try to look at things realistically. If I'm picking what I want, I hope the Texans win 42-0. I have stated ever since Schaub went down that we might get past the wild card round but not beyond that. The drop off from Schaub to Leinart/Yates was too great. To make matters worse, we are playing on their turf where the home team is undefeated this year.
It's not the rookies fault. T.J. Is doing the best he can. I have no reason to believe he has the experience and/or skill to combat Baltimore's aggressive defense. T.J. has actually done much better than I expected. I would go on record as saying that he has played better than Leinart would have done. I hope I am wrong but at this time, I have not seen anything that would make me feel that we can score more than 16-20 points against Baltimore. If that is all we get, I do not believe we can win this particular game. Especially with it being played on their home turf.
I hope that Andre, Schaub and Foster have a healthy and prosperous 2012-2013 season. Destination Nawlins!

If the Ravens and Texans were to play 10 times, Ravens would probably win 6 or 7 of the games, but that doesn't mean that they are winning tomorrow. On any given Sunday, as you all know....I've got faith in them, especially this group of players.
I like SF +3.5 NE -19.5 Hou +9 GB -9

In a perfect world you might be correct. However, I have a slightly different perspective. Assuming the 10 games are home and home and Schaub and Flacco are the starters. I believe it is 5-5 with with each team winning on the other home field at least once. With Yates/Leinart and Flacco as the starters our odds would not be nearly as good. Just as it would not be as good for the Ravens if the starters were Schaub against one of their back up QB's.
If your main point was that on a given day, any NFL team can beat another. I can not and will not dispute that notion!

I'm saying the "Any given Sunday" thing, but also, I'm saying this. The Ravens are beastly, plain and simple. If Schaub was the QB. I still think Ravens win 5 or 6 times out of 10 at their home. There is no scenario where I see the Texans being favored to win on the road at Baltimore. I'd say that percentage goes up just slightly about 10%. (6 or 7 out of 10 games, Baltimore wins). I think we have a better shot with Schaub, but I don't see a huge drop-off with Yates. This game will basically be decided on our defense, and even if they hold, our offensive line needs to win against their defensive line, I'd say the combination of those two things happening is less than 40% in my opinion.
And the Ravens haven't played against Yates. I think the Ravens are the best team in the AFC, but I think we match-up better with them than we do against NE. It's all about match-ups. It's just like MMA or Boxing, styles make fights. this style against Baltimore favors us.
Now if we were to play the Pats. I think Schaub not being there is HUGE. In order to play the Pats, you need POINTS. Schaub= Points. We would have a much better chance at winning if we had Schaub going against the Pats. But I see tomorrow as a totally different game.
But tomorrow against Baltimore, neither QB will not decide who wins the game, it's going to be the big boys up front. I can't say the same thing if we were playing the Pats.

I don't care who we are playing, I feel there is a significant drop off (10-12 ppg) from Schaub to Yates. Those 10-12 points will probably loom very large in a playoff game, including Baltimore! Other than that, I can't find much that I would dispute with the rest of your analysis!

We are being given 7.5 points with Yates, I wonder what the line would be if Schaub were playing. Maybe giving us 3 points? So the difference between Schaub and Yates is about 4.5 points. Makes one wonder.

35-7 at halftime! Looks like Tebow is going to need more than a miracle to dig his team out of this hole.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda! I feel your pain!
The 2011/2012 NFL season's flirtation with the Tebow phenominon has now officially come to an unmerciful end! 45-10 final score!
The Tebowers still have next year to look forward to!
