Montana was ever considered anything but a long shot, madam. The Democrats only need to flip a few seats to take control, and Trump’s mishandling of the pandemic and the national dialog may be enough to make it happen.
I don’t have a problem with a Republican Senate, though, if they were to dismiss McConnell. If the Senate GOP majority survives in November, it will be because they reject Trump and Trumpism. It’s not productive or healthy for one party to control every branch of government. Don’t you agree?

I agree with you. Democrats taking over the Senate is a long-shot. But hardly impossible.
Here is how I see it right now.
Republicans will take back Alabama. Democrats will take Colorado and Arizona. Net +1 for Democrats.
Maine and NC are up for grabs. Polls have Cunningham (D) well ahead in NC. Polls have Gideon (D) ahead in Maine but closer than in NC. If Democrats happpen to win both those seats it is +3 for Democrats and it would depend on who wins the presidency as to which party controls the Senate.
Montana will probably stay red and Georgia also.

I believe our founding fathers knew what they were doing when they had to create a new government to replace the British Parliament.
And yes, Montana is a long shot. I thought it was interesting that Montana was being looked at to see if support has softened for Trump in order to see if the D's have a chance of retaking the Senate. However, everything right now is just going to be a snap shot in time. At this point, I don't think any poll is going to correctly predict the outcome of the election. And that goes for either party.

Yes, polls are simply a snapshot at a point in time. But I'd much rather be in Biden's position than Trump's position. Trump has to once again come from behind, and he's farther behind vs. Biden than he was vs. Clinton just 90 days from election. Nothing objective points to a Trump victory today. Republicans keep touting subjective reasons for a Trump victory in November -- a silent majority. Inaccuracy of polls. "Remember 2016".
There was good news for Republicans yesterday. Kris Kobach lost to Roger Marshall in the primary for Senator from Kansas. Trump did not support either candidate but Kobach has had a rather negative history and Republicans in Kansas feared if he won, people would come out and vote against him. Senate seat in Kansas should stay Republican.

I have been saying Harris for a long time. I don't consider her far left like Sanders but she is farther left than Biden.
I don't share the opinion of many on the right that electing a Democrat will drive us toward socialism. Would a Biden adminisration put focus on different issues than a Trump administration? Yes.

Those issues would be welfare, defunding police depts., the arts, gender re-assignment and all the usual lib talking points. Yeah, real issues!

You think too much. But that’s what you get from retired sleaze. We will find out Nov 3. Won’t we. You certainly don’t sound confident. But at least your repugnant buddies are doing their best to win the election by doing massive VOTER SUPPRESSION. Especially in the swing states.
This the only way they can win...by CHEATING.
I bet those senators under pressure with their seats would love to see the back of Trump. He opens his stupid mouth and only LIES tumble out.

No, of course I'm not confident of anything right now because we are in a pandemic. Anything can happen. Do I think Trump will win again - yes, I do. Biden hasn't started talking live yet and when he does - it's going to be bad, bad, bad.
The murder rate is skyrocketing in cities run by the D's. Middle America is looking at this in horror. I'm talking about folks that don't say anything and just vote. The ones who are working and raising families. You don't see them on TV. But they are there - just waiting to vote for Trump. I have no doubt in my mind.

It's fitting in well with Trump's "Campaign of Fear".
His latest scare tactic is aimed at suburban women, who have seemingly deserted him. I can't believe that any person with an ounce of intelligence would believe his drivel. And his comments are quite racist.
President Donald Trump warned again Thursday that Democrats want to destroy American suburbs -- a blatant attempt to sway White suburban voters while stoking racial divisions.
In remarks on the South Lawn, Trump claimed Washington Democrats want to assume control of local zoning decisions and attacked a rule meant to combat segregation, a move he said would "obliterate" suburbs.
In his remarks, Trump harkened back to old arguments against integrating neighborhoods, saying the rules put a damper on property values and cause crime rates to increase.
"Your home will go down in value and crime rates will rapidly rise," he said. "Joe Biden and his bosses from the radical left want to significantly multiply what they're doing now and what will be the end result is you will totally destroy the beautiful suburbs. Suburbia will be no longer as we know it."

There is fear. That's just a fact. Take a look at Portland.
Good luck to anyone who wants to move there to live or to open a small business. Last month was record sales on hand guns. And it's African Americans who were the primary buyers of handguns. The majority of Americans do not want to live in a city that is chaos. One of our basic needs as humans is shelter. People want to feel safe where they live. And in certain Democratic run cities - it ain't happening.

The fear of blacks attacking the suburbs is just one of many unfound "fears" Trump is pushing on voters:
Fear of immigration of the "wrong" people.
Fear that electing Biden will destroy the economy.
Fear of Muslims.
Fear of illegal voting by unregistered voters (Trump still thinks he won the popular vote in 2016)
Fear of mail-in voting
Fear that not building "the wall" will be disastrous for the U.S.
Trump is losing and must turn things around. It is rather obvious he will focus on "fear" rather than his "accomplishments" while in office.
I do agree with you that what is going on in a FEW cities in this country is a negative for Biden and he should make it clear he does not support it. I applaud the police in most cities for being tolerant of protesters, but if the law is severely broken, people should be arrested.
In Austin during a protest, one of the protesters, carrying a weapon that could have been an AR-15, approached a car and was shot dead. Shooter said he fired in self-defense.
