WTF, I posted a helpful link, but you refuse to learn. I'm not going to waste my time on this again.
And you are wrong again. Crony capitalism is synonymous with fascism, not socialism. But the end result is the same. Tyranny.
Socialism is not a system of taxation. It is an economic system. That's for the benefit of others, because WTF wants to remain an idiot.

The proverb is Chinese and Arabic, but I would be shocked if Sun Zu said it. It's a very limited strategy, and it works only for a short period of time. Think Iraq and The Soviet Union. People and nations that adopt this strategy don't fare well over time. That said, I’m not really sure what you are trying to say. Are you trying to say that everyone that isn’t hard right and doesn’t think the way you do is an enemy?

And crony capitalism is dysfunctional and poor use of limited resources. The freer the markets, the higher efficiency the markets make use of limited resources. Government intervention (socialism, cronyism, facism, etc) inteferes and causes markets to dysfunction.

This just isn’t true. There is a tipping point. At some point there has to be controls on both the oligarchs (or as dilbert said robber barons) and the politicos. If left to their own devices, the markets would return us to a feudal way political, economic and social lives. Derivative trading is just one of many examples of runaway capitalism and free markets. When that happens the markets slow, and when the do so the oligarch's wealth building machine fails them and their wealth stagnates.

I said taxes are socialistic in nature. They take from one group to give to another group, supposedly for the benefit of all.
So if Crony capitalism/fascism and socialism get the same end results (remember But the end result is the same )...wtf does it matter what you or I call it? If you want to call it Crony capitalism tax or I a socialistic like tax?
When you guys go after the healthcare mandate, you do not say crony capatalism, you cry socialism!

The problem with derivitative trading was that most on the street (Main and Wall) didn't understand what was going on and the trading wasn't transparent !
The 2008 mess was a failure of government, not capitalism.
With property rights, individual freedoms and responsibilities, and free markets, we crawled out from under fuedalism; the future would be brighter with freer markets and stronger property rights.

Yes! For deregulating and allowing derivatives in the first place. Really, bundling A paper loans with B and C paper loans and turning around and marketing and selling them as A paper loans? They weren't transparent because the capitalist that thought it up didn't want it to be transparent. Kind of like Obama's most transparent presidency in history.
You have it half right. It's not just property rights. All of the free world has personal property rights. It's owning what's below the surface (mineral rights) that separates us from the majority of the rest of the free world.
As of the Modern Era individual freedoms are afforded in large parts of the world. We didn't invent it. Without the Renaissance, the Enlightenment and the Protestant Reformation, none of ideals that formed our nation would have even been thought up at the time the Old World discovered the vast resources of the New World. Republics got a foot hold because a new frontier opened up with the New World and new idea that had been forming for some time in Europe.

What? They (Wall) knew exactly wtf was going on! Greed knows no party or political limits.
The smart guys at Goldman knew. Read this book if you want to know who knew what...

What you fail to realize is that unchecked Capitalism turns into Crony Capitalism. That is where we are at now and have been for thirty years. That is the problem with Capitalism. Not that it is bad in theory. It just does not work in reality. Neither does Socialism. All nations fail at some point. History should have taught you that Whirly.

It is not unchecked capitalism that devolves into crony capitalism, it is regulated capitalism where the government chooses which companies shall prosper, and which others won't.

This statement is stupid. Unchecked capitalism isn't the cause of cronyism; it's unchecked government poking it's nose into the tent of capitalism !
WTF; you are schzonphrenic, it is impossible to have an intelligent conversation with you. You keep redefining what you are saying. I never mentioned nation states, so your comment on "all nations fail" is bizare, and irrelevant.

We are run by agencies now. Congress passes a law that they have no real idea what the ramifications are and then they pass the interpenetration to the agencies to enforce the laws as they see fit. We are governed by politicians that accept pay offs and then pass the buck to [said with all disgust I can muster] bureaucrats to meddle in our affairs.
Some regulation is necessary or the oligarchs will run amuck and bury the middle class and abandon the poor.

I have read 20 or so on the subject but if I had only read one, it would be one more than you! It is a very complicated subject to grasp , as you and Whirly demonstrate post after post!

I used to teach that crap in the University. I doubt your reading of pop econ books tops my experience. But continue on, as I know you will.

WTF; only a simple mind would say the following:
"...unchecked Capitalism turns into Crony Capitalism. That is where we are at now and have been for thirty years. "
