I haven't read every reponse just yet, but merely responding to the OP's question.

I think in all my hobby days I've only ever cancelled one appointment. It was days in advance, coming only because I'd miscalculated how much disposable income I'd have available to play with. It was the only reason why. I wasn't intercepted with a sweeter deal or any other [phoney] reason why people cancel.

In this situation (the day of) I wouldn't have cancelled, even if it meant spending money I didn't want to spend. It'd have to be a life decision at this point for me to cancel, something like, if I hobby today I can't pay my rent tomorrow. The day of the event, I'm pretty much locked in, outside of freak circumstances like death, car accident (beyond a 'love tap', where somebody will have to shell out $$) or sudden illness. I've had that before, too, where I wake up feeling fine but say 2 hours later I'm crawling to a doctor.

It's just not in my character to cancel on someone for reasons that aren't superficial. I mean, even if my ATF called and said come over for 2 free hours of 'do what you want to me', I'd still go through with the appointment.

Naah, I might have to cancel for that, but I'd offer a makeup session plus a huge tip.

The only lady that is half way trustworthy is one that actually expects to be paid for SERVICES, and does not expect to be paid when no services are provided.

And besides, since providers give companionship only for the fee, if no companionship occurs, then the client owes NOTHING. If a provider expects compensation for no companionship, that "companion" (using the word loosely here) is, IMHO, a thief.
Babe, there's no need for the rant. Find someone else to pick on. You won't see providers with cancellation fees? Great! There are others that will. My massage therapist asks for a cancellation fee if the cancellation isnt done within 4 hours. Í respect that. What's wrong with a provider asking for such fee. Is she not worth it sweetie? A lot of ladies require a cancellation fee and for good reason. Anyone can google and see that. Hell I guess we are all "theives". This is a business, not match.com or eharmony. Charles. Name calling doesn't help get your point across.

Now regarding your posts, there are truths to it no doubt. It all depends on the fems. The type I listed in my post, it's always a WIN-WIN for me. That is from experience. And, it's a great experience.

You and Z, need to go back to your corners and come out FUCKING!
He wants an argument. I will not give him that. Can't argue something that's been happening for years and years. His battle is not with me.

Ok. The case is 'closed'. We will allow for one more rebuttal from charlestudor. If he does not take advantage of this moment, then from hence forth, he must remain silent or FUCK! No Way in Hell he would be disappointed. I 'second' that motion. Motion has been made and 'seconded', consideration now lies within ECCIE...What Say You, charlestudor?

You're sexy and you know it!

Thank you all for your input. I do understand how last minute situations happen. But what really got me about one particular client was that in his attempt to apologize it came off a bit disrespectful of my time. Thing is I was traveling so I had already invested my time and money traveling, booking an. upscale hotel, supplies. Also the thing was also that he knew probably about 39 minutes before the approach he was going to make it. But I received the email about 10 minutes before our appt. Then with my next day cancelled appt I had already prepaid for my room for the next day. With that I just became so furious I just left and came back to Dallas. I know things happen and I can't really make people show up. Just needed to vent....

How would one collect a deposit though? The only times I did that was for extended trips. I had the gentlemen send money orders for a 50% down payment. So I guess I could do that. On Paypal people can easily charge back.

As far as a cancellation fee is concerned, more power to you if you can get it. Our time is valuable. I don't practice this, but, if you do, go for it! Also the thing with last minute cancellations and NCNS is that other men may have wanted that specific appointment time. I don't ever double-book as some girls mght do so I really have lost that potential income. if someone cancels last minute/NCNS.

" Oh sorry, dropped my cell phone in the water and couldn't make it. Can I see you today?"

Uh, no.

This is ironic as I had three eccie members this week ncns me this last week which has never happened to me ever! I have noticed that many are using the economy to try and negotiate or renegotiate if they happen to contact you again after they blew off the original appointment.

I have a cancellation policy if someone does this, however I have only had one client who has ever followed through with it. I have never no called no showed as I believe this is a business and professional courtesy should be extended. I do not double book and I do not have a line waiting outside my door....

However, it is still a waste of time and money which bothers me the most. If it is a true family emergency then of course I am understanding but if it is more often than not "oh well, she's a whore and there are plenty more where she came from" then I'm not understanding at all and will let others know how the individual has wasted my time. No different than a gentleman writing a review if he was ncns. Unfortunately that hurts our business whereas they can always find someone who will see them if they ncns or they will jump to a popular membership site which will protect those who don't deserve it.

Cancellation fees are required in many businesses including doctor's offices. Does this make the doctor untrustworthy? I don't think so but they are probably tired of having their time wasted by those who are truly inconsiderate.

Unfortunately the good guy's pay in the long run as they then end up with skepticism at the least or requiring deposits.

Bottom line is that it is a business and no matter how much most of the ladies enjoy this it is still a business to them and they need to run their business the way they see fit.

WELL said ladies.

Ava use .
That's what I use.
If you need something that takes credit card online, cashx is your friend not paypal.

It would have to be something big for me not to make a appointment. Either sick kid, wreck, meeting at work, something big. When I set the appointment I add it to my calendar so the time slot is taken. If something came up I would call the provider ASAP and let them know. NCNS is unacceptable to me from either the provider or hobbyist.

I think you know I wouldn't book you if you were the last provider on the planet (thank God there are so many others, and so reasonable at that). I guess it just goes to show you there's a dessert for every taste bud. Even those that like sour desserts.
Be prepared to spit out your coke again:

I had a client who not only paid my cancellation fee for cancelling last minute, he paid for the entire damn session.

He later booked another session just to take me to lunch.

My cancellation policy is as such:

Quote:
It's life, things come up. I completely understand. If you are going to be late, please email me and let me know approximately how late you will be. If you need to reschedule or cancel, please respect me (and my time) and let me know as early as you possibly can. Frequent lateness/cancellation issues will lead to us being unable to visit. Please treat me the way you wish to be treated. If you cancel less than 2 hours before a visit, I require a $100 deposit via . IF YOU CANCEL LESS THAN 1 HOUR BEFORE (OR AFTER THE VISIT IS SCHEDULE TO START) I require $150. This is a good faith gesture to show you did not intentionally book the appointment with no intent of arriving.

You are always welcomed to leave a visit early, however if you do so without advanced notice the remainder of your donation will be forfeited.

Visits requiring a deposit will be handled as such: If you cancel within 5 days I will refund 100% of your deposit, within 3 days: 50%. For anything closer than 3 days there is no refund of deposit. If I cancel, 100% of your deposit is refunded immediately.

If you are ill, please cancel or I will be forced to turn you away (forfeiting your donation).
Yes, that's right. If you show up at my incall with the flu I'm keeping your money because you've intentionally wasted my time.

Yea, almost lost my Coke once again.

First of all, this would never happen between us b/c we would never meet more than once. And if I canceled even that one session, I'd never book another. That's for sure.

And "good faith" in the hobby?????? Give me a break. There's no trust in the hobby. Just arms length transactions between business people trading money for services. Not any different than me hiring a plumber to clean my pipes.

Actually it's different for everyone in this. For some there is no trust and for others there is a lot of trust. This is not a "one size fits all" hobby....

Trust starts at zero and builds up over time. Since I almost never repeat the trust with every lady I see is at zero.

Welp. After reading your comments to Missy and the ones you've made in other threads, I all the sudden don't feel bad about your insults to me here: http://eccie.net/showpost.php?p=2216991&postcount=10. From the comments you've made in the past 24 hours, I'm not starting to wonder why you even hobby. You already have a bad attitude towards providers so why do it..ya know? I sure as heck won't be spending $200 or more an hour on something that didn't make me happy.

Cancellations. . . disappointing... especially when for the most inane reasons! Quite a shame...

C'est la vie , I suppose
