People with rationally thinking brains know that prices were low in April 2020 due to a severe lack of demand because of shut downs and travel restrictions. People with rationally thinking brains also know that gas prices have been just as high as they are now at various times during Trump's presidency. At times during W's they were even higher.

But if you want to focus on prices, answer me this... when federal policy is to BLOCK pipelines and BAN new oil & gas leases on federal land, would someone with a rationally thinking brain expect it to result in HIGHER or LOWER energy prices?

Specifically what part of my post conflated prices with shortages? That's a rhetorical question, of course. I didn't conflate the two. You people sure don't care about facts. You just say whatever. That's why I don't waste much time "debating" you folks. There's no point to debating with people like you who couldn't care less about the facts and just make it up as you go along. A right wing extremist posted a comparison of gas prices in this thread. That's what I was referring to. Furthermore, the title of the thread is "the price of gas." You folks can go ahead and carry on whipping each other into a frenzy with your far right conspiracy theories.




As for a "shortage," in addition to the hackers shutting down the pipeline that supplies roughly 1/6 of our total demand, fearful right wing panic buyers are also to blame.

Well, if other posters here are truly "unhinged", it should be easy (and jolly good fun) for anyone with a "rationally thinking brain" to pick apart their arguments using facts and logic.
