Article I, Section 3, Clauses 6 and 7 provide: The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments. ... The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.


Clinton was impeached but not convicted by the Senate .

Trump was impeached but not convicted by the Senate.

Can you begin to understand the process ?
