From the OP which started this discussion. "American Thinker" is possibly the most extreme right wing publication that exists.

https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/american-thinker/
.
So I would advise anyone to understand that the article is hardly unbiased.

Like I said, Trump supporters are hoping it turns out to be a significant factor in the upcoming 2020 elections. At this point I see Steele as the main culprit if there was wrong-doing. The Trump team wanted dirt on Hillary Clinton. The Clinton team wanted dirt on Donald Trump. Here is an article that I think FAIRLY looks into the incidents.

https://thehill.com/opinion/white-ho...-must-find-out
You're wrong again Speedy...what does the American Thinker have to do with the OP's thread...your comprehension is quite lacking and you have shown that on MANY occasions.
You aren't fooling anyone about your "independent" status in regard to the Presidential election...you've said as much to ad nauseam.

His conservative accomplishments seem to go right over your head as it would with any left winger who loves big Gumment and higher taxes.

One moment you say...I will never vote for Trump and the next you say...you'll see when election comes around...YEAH RIGHT!!

Come on Speedy...you've been listening to Chimm Chimm to much

Not to mention that he kept the promises made back to Reagan about our embassy and the Golan heights.
And yet his approval rating is at 42.2% according to FiveThirtyEight and 43.2% according to RealClearPolitics. The only POTUS since approval ratings have begun to have NEVER been above 50% at any time of his presidency. The good news? He's ahead of the approval rating of Jimmy Carter after 815 days in office. By 4/10s of 1 %. And need I remind you what happened to Carter in his re-election bid?

He must be doing something wrong in the opinion of voters. Still has plenty of time to help himself.

I'll wait and see what the results of the investigation turns up before coming to any conclusions. In 2020 it will be Trump against an as of yet unknown Democratic nominee. At that time I will make my choice, as will 10s of millions of other people in this country. I will abide by their decision an accept the winner as the lawfully elected POTUS. No excuses.

BTW, I have no "party" as I've said several times. I am an "Independent" and vote for the candidates which best meet my political viewpoints. For most of my life, those candidates have been Republican.
Where other than this post of yours did you say you would "make my choice" about the election....PLEASE LINK IT HERE!!
You aren't fooling anybody SPEED...about your "independent" view points...just admit you're a LIB!!
There is no one running on the left that has ANY conservative view point WHAT SO EVER!!

No, I will in all likelihood not vote for Trump in 2020 for reasons mentioned. Very unlikely I may voter for a 3rd party candidate or not vote at all. As for other races, I will vote again for the candidate I agree with the most.

My statements obviously go right over YOUR head so there is really no point in your posts on my posts. The OP had a link to an article by The American Thinker. Did you not see that? Did it go over your head?

How many people on this forum have already predicted a Trump victory in 2020? Have any votes yet been cast?

All I've done is lay out the most likely scenario that would lead to a Democratic victory in 2020. Yes, I've made certain very logical assumptions as to who will win various states. Trump will NOT win California or NY. Or several other states. The Democratic candidate, no matter who that turns out to be, will NOT win several states. The same states that were up for grabs in 2016 should be up for grabs in 2020.

I have not at any time predicted a Trump loss in 2020. To repeat-- there's too much water to flow under the bridge to cast anything in stone.

If I am a hardcore liberal as you believe, why I have I voted for Nixon, Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Reagan, Bush, Bush, Dole, Bush, Bush, Obama, Obama, Clinton. 10 Republicans, 3 Democrats. And had someone like Kasich been the Republican nominee in 2016, I probably would have voted for him over Clinton.

And as I've asked several times before, of you or anyone else, what viewpoints have I made on this forum that put me on the liberal side of the political spectrum? You are clueless. You are assuming that all those who consider themselves to be Conservatives vote 100% Republican and all those who consider themselves to be Liberal vote 100% Democratic. Simply not true.

you certainly have changed your voting preferences. you voted for 3 democrats straight thru.

the fact that you voted for other republicans make you more of a moderate than a hard core rep or hard core lib.

you did vote for a hard core lib in Obama twice.

On this point you are correct. I should not have made the statement that I might vote for anyone other than the candidate who is running against Trump. I take back that statement.

I've explained several times why I voted for Obama. It had little to nothing to do with his political views. Under Bush, I had just lost about 25% of my 401k value and with retirement pending, that was rather important to me. And I was given the option of voting for Obama, who did impress me positively, or McCain/Palin. I was somewhat neutral on McCain but Palin, to put it mildly, was not someone I wanted to see a heartbeat away from the presidency. In 2012, after the stock market took off and my 401k was, to say the least, back on firm footing, I again voted for Obama. As for whether or not Obama was a success or failure as POTUS, I'll leave that to the political historians.

In 2016, I, like many other voters, voted for the lesser of 2 evils. It was to me a lose-lose situation. Had someone like Kasich been the Republican nominee, there is a strong likelihood I would have voted for him.
