Only one group of people celebrate New Years on the first day of Tishrei , which occurs this time of year, though not necessarily in September. Otherwise known as Rosh Hashanah.

I know several ex-military people who are hard-core Trump supporters. Most military people lean to the right, most very strongly. I would hope that Hotrod is telling the truth when it comes to military service. I, for one, believe him.
