The Florida shooter did by entering a school with which he was intimately familiar while being about the same age in appearance as many of the students there in an environment created by complacency and Liberal Group Think after having been emboldened by the absolute failure of LE in the community to "alert" on him, separate him from the firearms and ammunition he had accumulated and perhaps secure him some emotional/psychological help.
vs.
a fleeing violator in plain sight on a roadway in the open view of two officers who were sufficiently trained to neutralize the threat to their lives when they stopped him.
You can't possibly equate the two events as learning anything with any level of integrity.
You're as bad as WTF and Munchie trying to claim that two NONIDENTICAL COURT "ORDERS" of different lengths by the same judge IS A "Standing Order" that the Judge issues in all of his cases!
They a facially distinct and different, just like your episode. It's not "simple"!

Of course the Fleeing Felon and the School shooter are two different types of incidents with entirely different circumstances. The Officers located the suspect in traffic after getting a description of the suspect and it was at night. The Deputies in Florida already knew where the suspect was, he was in the school and if they heard shots being fired they knew he was armed. Those Officers in pursuit had no idea if the suspect was armed or not. Sure they were different variables but the Officers in Baton Rouge did a dam good job that night. I am not trying to bash the Florida Deputies but they didn't seem to have much of a plan.

As a matter of "incidents" it will depend on the assignments of the officers, but patrol officers will be more familiar with being on the look out for vehicles and felony traffic stops than an active shooter situation.
Here's what you said: "The Deputies in Florida already knew where the suspect was, he was in the school ...
VS.
the officers on the traffic KNEW WHERE HE WAS ... IN THE CAR!
I hope you are not suggesting that looking for someone inside of a car is remotely the same as looking for someone INSIDE A SCHOOL (halls, classrooms, closets, restrooms, around corners, behind desks, .... blah, blah.... and into each one a potential volley of rifle rounds.)
What you're trying to do, as many do, is minimize the threat in the school while maximizing the threat during a traffic stop!
That's one reason the school incidents turn bad fast. That's also IMO the main reason the school threat should be handled by WELL TRAINED OFFICERS and not teachers. The situation is complex and can turn ugly in seconds. For instance: Is the average CHL holder trained to reload magazines with one hand using their "weak" hand, and fire accurately with their "weak" hand in a tactical combat condition?

I think you're running off on tangents I think your point has gotten lost. The reason why I posted that video is because a poster stated in so many words you can't expect a Pistol to out fire a AR-15 the video I posted proves it's quite possible. I don't know why the Deputies didn't enter the building and neither do you. You don't know that departments policies and have no experience in a situation like that. You're just trying to throw out ideas and circumstances that may or may not have any bearing on the situation.

And some folks "over simplify them"! I won't point figures.
But when someone uses anecdotal, nonsimilar, or factually inaccurate examples to support their theory of what they claim happened (pure speculation) then it's highly appropriate to distinguish their "examples"!
It's as bad as the predictions that Trump will be kicked out!
Or ... the Russian Collusion by the Trump Campaign Team!
I heard this morning a news show regular/host mention the FOUR DEPUTIES who didn't charge the school and kill the shooter (which includes the "school officer") MAY HAVE BEEN INSTRUCTED TO "STAND DOWN"! And that's why they didn't!
Now HOW would 4 officers get "instructed" to "stand down" when they are at the scene of the shooting?
(I hope that's not too complicated for you!)

Is this another "conspiracy theory" of yours?
Or do you believe this is part of the Russian Collusion plot?
Oh, I have a question:
How do you know how much personal "experience" I have or do not have doing anything?
This is what you just posted:

I suppose that it would appropriate, but "unfair," to ask you ...
... what "experiences" you've had that qualify you to dismiss my suggestions of issues raised by this horrific incident? Then I can apply that same question to about 99% of the people "evaluating" what happened ... INCLUDING THE FUCKING SHERIFF!

It would not be a capital offense, because the intent to kill the person hit is absent, but the intent to commit the act of firing is present. My guess is CHL holders were taught that hitting bystanders is problematic.

This is an example of where you go off the rails.
Here, what I took your point to be was that police or others may not be inclined to shoot at an active shooter to stop him from killing students in fear that THEY may hit a student and be charged.
You said you weren't aware of a "defense " for those people. I provided an article showing where a similar instance occurred and no charges were filed and the explanation of why.
You then went on some in depth technical explanation of the difference between some judicial processes that had nothing to help determine whether or not they would or would not be culpable for murder themselves.
