It was the god damned media that whipped everyone into a frenzy. I went up to the Highland Park Village and started looting and rioting. Tom Thumb closed down and will not be re-opening there.

Being born and raised in St. Louis and living in Dallas for many years. I received several text from friends from the hobby wondering if I was going home for the holiday and cautioning me to be careful because frankly I was scared myself. Then the other part of me know what the rest of America doesn't. St. Louis is still so segregated while driving down any suburb there, Ferguson, Jennings, Pine Lawn, Ladue, Brentwood, Frontenac (sp) you are subject to getting pulled over and hassled just because, How I know I was one, My aunt who is Veteran is another and several college educated friends.

Its definitely not right what their doing. Those are the thugs that know this is there only outlet to relief there pain and for a free ride by burning, looting and taking from others. I just wanted to say whats happening there is beyond Michael Brown. But what most don't know there have be peaceful rallies there since August but November 24,2014 and August is what they will be remembered for.

When I was speaking with a friend the other day I mention what the voter increase was and she stated it wasn't by much. A lot of people are traveling to St. Louis on Buses and coming from other parts of the state protesting and causing all kinds of destruction.

A few days ago, there was a meeting in the White House to discuss Ferguson. A thug attacks a police officer, after robbing a convenience store, and gets killed and they have a meeting to discuss that? That is this administration dividing us by race.

Until we start addressing the real issues, this isn't going to change.

Unfortunately, the only thing I've become "more aware of" during all these protests and riots is how much black on black crime there really is in America. Its very sad that the people trying to "bring awareness" about white police killing black suspects are so blindly misguided that they can't even see the irony of their own intentions. I never cared to know the statistics of black on black crime before Ferguson but now its almost common knowledge. Then compared with the instances of white on black crime - especially considering the difference in our population percentages - is a testament in and of itself. This "movement" is shooting itself in the foot. No pun intended.

And I really do find that depressing as a sympathizer of oppressed cultures. I really wish black community leaders would take a stand at this point and make the most of this opportunity to enlighten their constituents as to the real numbers involved in black/black crime vs white/black crime. Its as obvious as the day is long and I can't for the life of me figure out why they continue to ignore and deny what the real problem is. No one can fix their culture at this point but them. One by one, brick by brick. This bullshit about continually blaming others is counterproductive and the President should know that and say as such but he's too much of a pussy ass puppet to do it. So we get more meetings to discuss more blame. Sad.

If I were the police, I would be the ones begging for constant surveillance. The video footage of what really happened a few weeks ago when the 12yr old kid in Cleveland was shot with a toy gun is the ONLY thing that kept violence from erupting there over the fact that more white cops shot a black kid. That had the potential to get very, VERY bad if the video was not available.

This whole thing really saddens me to deep extent. Not the isolated incidents, but the mentality of the opposing sides is so vastly different. Its starting to remind me of the Israelis and the Palestines. Two cultures who fundamentally disagree on important issues and will never come to a place of compromise. Not saying we are that bad, but there are moments where people seem so divided that I just have to tune it out.

Evidence and facts no longer matter. The USA is a bilateral (or more) racist nation where black people think they are the only victims when in fact everyone here appears to be somewhat racist. Not having been born here and having lived a significant part of my adult life overseas, it is appalling to me how racist both white and black people are here compared to other nations where I have lived. Most of my girlfriends including SO have been black (I am latino) and the issue of racism has never come up, ever. But here it is unbelievable, with every race. I have just as many black, white, and mulatto friends, but not in this country. This is a very sad thing for all of us.

I was born here and I have about as many black, Hispanic and Asian friends as I have white friends. Most of these were business associates and tend to be well educated. I love to take the boat out and go fishing. I have two fishing partners and both are black guys. None of my white friends have ever been in my boat.
My first wife died three months after we were married. She was Asian.

Can not blame the media alone. Jesse Jackson bused three bus loads of Rainbow Col. into Louisiana many years ago when a problem occurred in a small town. He has people on payroll to travel to any site to incite problems. Where does the funding come from? Other groups do the same

While its VERY true 92% of black victims were victimized by other blacks, it's also VERY true 88% of whites were preyed upon by other whites and yet there's no call from the poster to involved "white leaders" to address that issue in our society. Please stop spewing Feaux News propaganda as facts. Yes.. The is our society... ALL of us. Mine as well as yours. Using Separatist, dog-whistle statements like "fix THEIR problems" tells me you somehow think you're above the fray and this doesn't affect you... You're wrong.

You also made a statement regarding video taping/body cams..

Eric Garner's murder was video-taped, the coroner ruled it a homicide, the cop used a choke hold that was deemed illegal for use by law enforcement several years back and yet there was no indictment. Please keep in mind the procescutor had the option of filing charges without convening a Grand Jury but he played the odds since no Grand Jury in recent history has returned an indictment for cops charged with a crime.

And for you members of the borg who will say "He was breaking the law!!!" I hope you never get stopped for speeding and find yourself wondering if you'll die in the next few moments... Yeah,its like that

If I get stopped for speeding, odds are I'm not going to be killed by the officer who initiated the stop. UNLESS I choose to 1) not heed the officers instructions 2) go to the officers car and beat his face 3) try to take control of the officers weapon 4)charge at the officer and not stop when repeatedly warned.
