Apparently, there is a bit of a threatening feel to the song/video, enough that the cops questioned the lead singer? I know, we Bible belters get a little hysterical from time to time but I never felt like Possum Kingdom was a song about sneaking behind the boathouse to get your freak on.

Whatever path you chose to walk, I wish you the best. However, before you ride off into the sunset (Shane style), there are a couple of things you may want to ponder...

1. If you have an issue with conforming, why would you leave? The premise being "They do not want me (because I do not conform to what they want me to post)". Would it not make more sense to stay? Would that actually be the way to not conform?

2. If you do not like all the chest beating, "women are whores", flame parties...then why not stay and fight the good fight? Try hard to balance all of those comments with kindness. Show the proverbial "them" that you can contribute on this board without trashing someone else.

3. Instead of fighting the comments and labels that people try to stick to you, embrace them. Be the unicorn. From personal experience, I can tell you that generally speaking, if the big dogs are barking, you are probably doing something right.

4. While I have not personally enjoyed all of your posts, you have the same right as everyone else to post them. Sounds to me like you are allowing others to bully you off the board. Don't let others emotionally hijack you. Remember, quitting is a bad habit that tends to get easier over time.

While I do not expect to change your mind, with luck, I will make you think. I have been here about two years. In that time, I have not flamed one person. I believe in being a gentlemen with these ladies. I have accepted that there are good guys and bad guys on this board and sometimes it is hard to tell the difference. I have met some amazing ladies, , made some good friends that I hang with outside the hobby, and accepted the shots taken at me with a smile. When I leave this board, it will be on my terms. While I may not be remembered afterwards (though it is nice to think I may be), I will know that I treated people well, spoke up on others behalf, and was the same nice guy I am in real life.

Besides, if you leave cause they want you to, then they win...do you really want that...lol.

Not really, but as much shit as I've let slide, some people deserve a return on their investment. Being nice is actually not easy for me. Where I grew up you got your ass beat if you got uppity. Sometimes I miss the good ole fashioned pre internet days.

I just don't want to leave without some people realizing they'd never say half the shit they do if they weren't behind a computer screen. So I called phildo on it..... Does that make me the bad guy? Adabear, you are a better man than I am. They only win if they get their way. I posted the poll, and ultimately I decide what I do or don't do.

Staying and fighting the good fight.... It's an interesting idea, but the way the deck is stacked here that's not possible. I have an idea that can change that based on personal experience x2, but I have to find the right people first.

And I will keep the account for those that want to communicate via PM still. I think that's only fair.
