He almost made the team in spring training. He’s only up because Reynolds is on bereavement leave. He’ll be sent back down. It was a nice gesture by the Pirates. BTW, he was featured on GMA today. The Bucs are the feel good story on the MLB so far.

Raise it again!!! Take 2/3 from the big money Dodgers. They scored 21 runs in 3 games. Best record in the NL. They pounded them. On to the draft tonight!!!!

He was no where close to making the team out of spring training.
Reynolds has been off bereavement leave for 2 days. They sent Canaan Smith Ngijba down instead of this stiff. Hopefully they jettison Maggi to AA tomorrow never to be heard from again. Be serious about winning by having your best players on the team

It’s not a big deal BB. He almost hit one out last night. He was close in Altoona so they brought him in for a cup of coffee. Kid deserved it. You’re not going to the deep, negative side too?

Nope, not going to the deep negative side - I would like them to win. Simply pointing out that there is no good reason for this career minor leaguer to be on the team if they are serious about winning. They have other, better players in the minors. The sooner they move on from him, the better

It was two days. It was probably a matter of convenience. Why interrupt a AAA player for two games? Those guys will be up in the summer for a longer stay. He didn’t embarrass himself or the team. They won both games. He’s probably on the next Uber to Altoona. I’m good with it.

The left fielder robbed that Dodger out of a 3 run homer, in the 7th iirc, a couple nights ago. Great catch, I think they blew a lead and lost the game tho.

Pirates 8-0 in the second game of their double header. They won the first game. Looks like 20/8 in April.

He went 2/6, 333 average, 1 RBI. No errors.

The Nationals took the ball out of play and gave it to the Pirates. A class move. They recognized Drew’s grit, determination and dedication to the game. It’s all good.

His 2 hits were in a 16-1 blowout when they could take the real players out of the game. Hell, it was so bad his 2nd hit was against an outfielder pitching for Washington
And every team takes the ball out of play for a guy's first hit - it had nothing to do with this scrubs determination
But yeah, it is all good now that he is back in AA hopefully never to be heard from again
