These things did not happen because one legal gunowner out of 10 million had a bad day. These things happened because a lunatic was able to obtain a gun illegally.

No, I do not think one of "The Bill of Rights" is any more important than the other. All were put there with one fundemental thought, to protect citizens against a represive Government.
The Bill of Rights are the supreme law of the land when it comes to the way Government interacts with the citizens of the Country.. They are very unique in that unlike many laws, they do not tell the Government what it can do, they tell the Government what it can't do. Nothing trumps them. Period.
