Our oil industry was shown who the real players were in 2020 when they bankrupt damn near the lot of us. They brought ExxonMobil to their knees.

Biden has been a God send to our energy companies.....they can blame him for their frankly very savvy business decision to play this out.

Had Russia not invaded Ukraine, oil's be clipping along around 80-90 dollars.

Enough of the Chicken Little threads blaming Biden...The Saudi's and Russians are loving this...except for all the dead Russians in Ukraine!

it's too bad the mod squad took away yer old avatar, takes some big nuts to claim an article by the well respected Wall Street Journal by two people one with a Ph.D and the other an actual oil industry executive is nonsense.

You are aware that Biden pissed off the Saudis, right? Now he has to go and suck the Crown Princes dick. That dumb fuck actually said how they are murderers and Trump shouldn't be working with bullies. But here he is - begging for oil. It's disgusting.
Now the optics of this of his visit is going to be awful. I wonder doesn't that dumbass have people around him to tell him what that's going to look like? And people thought Trump was an embarrassment. The hypocrisy is stunning.

Do you remember outfits like Petro Lewis and Damson that were selling oil and gas partnership interests way back in the day? Nobody made money who invested in them. They were just wasting money on lousy prospects. But the investors didn't care, because of the great tax write offs. That was until Ronald Reagan came along and helped shut them down. I explained that over in the how are we going to pay for all this shit thread, but didn't hear a peep out of WTF.

What were gasoline price back when Reagan was president? Maybe $0.80 a gallon?

The Reagan administration eliminated price controls on oil, gasoline and natural gas. And it got rid of the Windfall Profits Tax. How well would WTF's energy companies be doing if they were still subject to price controls and a windfall profits tax? Saudi Arabia and Russia would really have us over a barrel.

It's really hard to get WTF to admit that Reagan was the greatest president of our lifetimes. He should give thanks every day that Ronald Reagan was our president.

Like you said I just need to give up, WTF won't listen to reason.

Some of the progressive democrats have introduced bills to go after oil companies for price gouging and to impose a new Windfall Profits tax. Didn't they learn anything from the 1970's? From the Ukraine/Russia war? It's crazy.

I try and invest on ( and Tiny would like this if he wasn't banned) realpolitik. I liked, no loved the midstreams with their delivery of ngl's and the incoming demand surge. That , so far, has been a great play.

It seems many of you are getting your advice from partisan political opinion hacks like Hannity and Carlson!...hell I could and should add Meadows and Lemon!

The thing is, the Carter experience made conservatives out of an entire generation... Think about the impact Biden is having on the young folks today that are just becoming politically aware. They are going to be rabidily anti-government at the rate these Democrats are tearing the Country apart.

Reagan made an entire generation of numbnuts who are as liberal at spending as their Progressive counterparts. Hardly anything to brag about.
