Well, I’m pretty much on my last sip. I said what I said, cogently and concisely. You haven’t attempted to refute it with facts. But thanks for playing along Mr Gristle. Take your blue pill and tuck your “husky” self in. Your Bambino alert will go off early tomorrow.

... And - as the OP mentioned:

Another Foreign Policy DISASTER for President Biden!

Well, OP also called it U.S. cash trying to pretend it came from U.S. taxpayers. That's another attention to detail disaster for the OP. It was South Korean money, not U.S. money... and it's not cash.

Facts matter.

And he omits the history of how that money pooled. Inmate P01135809 provided waivers from 2018 to 2019 permitting Iranian oil to be sold despite sanctions. It's been frozen and held. Moves were made to give Iran access, with conditions.

Reporting also indicates that Iran hasn't drawn on the funds.

Now, haters of Biden. When I ask you to connect the dots it's not because I agree with Biden. It's because when you swing you need a cudgel with solidity. Not a floppy pool noodle in desperate need of a little blue pill action.

U.S. and Qatar came to an agreement yesterday to an agreement on a additional access blocks for the $6 billion tied to that prisoner swap that Iran hasn't really drawn on yet.

Treasury shared that with Congress yest.

So the OP's political disaster is all fizzle, no sizzle.

So now that this nothing burger has played out I guess we'll still be stuck waiting for Bam to explain the connection to the Obama cash as part of his Obama's the shadow president malarky.

These people will believe anything that asshole says, I guess that's why the orange Dickhead was waving war plans to invade Iran around, wanted to whip everybody into a frenzy!
And just to join in on the conspiracy theories, you know when in Rome!
Why Iranian war plans!
Is this a conspiracy, should I be connecting dots!
Or was that just the first papers he came across in the bathroom?
Most likely the latter!

... Blimey! ... Times really ARE tough here in America.
Biden has spent all the money.

... It's time to get America back onto the road
of Prosperity once again.

Let's start with "Drill Baby Drill!"

... Surely hope President Biden's diplomacy with
what's happening to Israel doesn't end up like
his plan with leaving Afghanistan.

... We all saw how THAT went. ...

As funny as it is to watch you two flail, I'll connect some dots for you.

Congress put in place a requirement in 2002 to recover the costs of evacuations to the maximum extent practical.

To show you how it's used as a quick hit political cudgel, look at the evacuations from Lebanon in 2006. Pelosi and the Dems excoriated Bush for the same promissory note device, despite doing absolutely nothing to remove the requirement and knowing that Bush couldn't remove it on his own.

This language was in place during the Trump administration as well. The GOP had full control and did nothing to remove it like the Dems before them.

Quote:
Generally, you will need to:

Work with immigration officials to be sure you have any necessary visas, vaccinations, and/or other documentation.Arrange and pay for your own accommodations and living expenses or transportation if traveling onward. For U.S. citizens who need emergency financial assistance at the evacuation destination, you may ask a consular officer to help you apply for a loan to help with the costs of your accommodations and/or other essential expenses.

Sometimes situations are so dangerous that we are not able to help organize evacuation options. Under these conditions, we suggest that you stay at a safe location and leave as soon as you can do so safely, using transportation you are able to find on your own
Quote:
No.U.S. lawrequires that the assisted evacuation of private U.S. citizens or third country nationals be provided “on a reimbursable basis to the maximum extent practicable.” However, we do understand that you may not be able to access your own money during a crisis. For evacuation transportation that we arrange to transport you out of a crisis location, you do not have to pay before you board. To board these transports, you will need to complete and sign a form promising to repay the U.S. government. The amount billed to evacuees is based on the cost of a full fare economy flight, or comparable alternate transportation, to the designated destination(s) that would have been charged immediately prior to the events giving rise to the evacuation. Because different evacuation transports may go to different destinations, the cost of one transport may be different than another. We encourage people to leave on the first transport they are able and eligible to board.

As mentioned above, an evacuation is almost always to a nearby location away from the crisis, which is very rarely to the United States. You are also responsible for the costs you may incur in the destination, including hotel, food, clothing, medication, and other necessities.

Emergency financial assistance in the form of a loan may be available to U.S. citizens who are unable to pay for their onward travel to the United States.
Those rules were included in a 2014 update, which is still in effect today and you two have more in common with Pelosi than you think.

Why would they need to do that if the money was already secure?
