I sure miss the 70's, it was a wierd time in America. The 70's raised our level of social well being more than the 60's. The Vietnam war was winding down, gas was $.19 yes that nineteen cents a gallon, and the attendent filled your tank. McDonalds was not on every corner and the only remote control for the TV was me when my parents wanted me to change the channel.

yea, I missed Vietnam by 1 year, hence the "cpt" but a guy 1 year behind me, I ran into at a class reunion and he said he was in VN, I said no way, he said, actually in Cambodia running ambushes on the Ho Chi Man trail, I said that was illegal, the said he went airborne ranger, green beret......now we find latter he was telling the truth

and I did work at a "service" station
