Show you? Like the Pres showed his evidence? The president cited "unnamed sources"? So you believe his and not several independent news sources? Oh, got it. Mark Levin and Breitbart. Lol.
James Clapper denied it. http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/poli...-tower-n729261
So you have one explicit denial from the former DNI and several reports that the Dir FBI requested the DoJ to refute the wiretapp claim versus Levin/Breitbart/Trump "evidence".
Could former POTUS do it? Without FISA or somehow doing it without knowledge or complicity of the FBI or NSA? IDK, but find that pretty far fetched, with lots of potential for whistle blowing by people in the loop. WRT Obama's motives: Is it a non 0 possibility he tried to do this? Yes, it is not zero, but would he risk being worse than RM Nixon? Highly unlikely, IMO. Downside way outweighs upside. I mean the dude is a lawyer who has a tendency to play it very safe (to a fault, with some of his policies). Logic dictates that if he was going to take this risk and go down this path it would have to be for huge upside (like winning re-election, which was not possible).
I think the Economist has a rational description of the possibilities on this latest belching from DC: http://www.economist.com/blogs/democ...ent?fsrc=gnews

You stated that Comey denied the allegations. I asked you to provide information that backed your claim. You did not provide that information, because you can't. Comey never said it.
Obama didn't have any problem wire-tapping OUR OWN ALLIES around the globe. Didn't have a problem wire-tapping the AP or Fox News people. Certainly didn't have an problem meddling in the election of another nation (Israel).
It's a pattern of behavior with him and his administration. The one good thing is that Obama is used to everyone kissing his ass and never questioning him. He's soft. Trump isn't that kind of cat. He's going to end up hanging Obama with his own "Russia stole the election" narrative when this all blows right back onto Obama's front porch.
Edited to Add:
With regard to the article you referenced; If option No. 3 turns out to be true, then Trump should be removed from office. That sort of behavior is unacceptable.

Let’s examine the Trumpster snowflake logic with this partial list of Trump events:
Pence used a private server to discuss sensitive government information.
I guess this must have happened because I am upset that Hillary lost…🤔
Pence’s private email server was hacked and compromised
I guess this must have happened because I am upset that Hillary lost…🤔
Flynn lied about contact with Russians and was forced to resign
I guess this must have happened because I am upset that Hillary lost…🤔
Sessions lied to Congress about contact with Russians and was forced to recuse, and has been called on to resign.
I guess this must have happened because I am upset that Hillary lost…🤔
Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner met with Russia's ambassador to Washington, Sergey Kislyak, at a time when the Trump administration's relationship with Russia was under close scrutiny.
I guess this must have happened because I am upset that Hillary lost…🤔
Trump’s Muslim ban was shot down by the judicial branch of our government.
I guess this must have happened because I am upset that Hillary lost…🤔
Oh,Snap.

Your only source for this is Mark Levin>Breitbart>Pres. There is a known denial from the DNI on watch at the time and multiple (but yes, not confirmed) reports about Comey. Most reasonable and rational people, and I am not sure you are one, would take those over your source. I am not saying anything with certainty, just that as of the information available right now, the assertion that Obama ORDERED spying on Trump and/or his campaign looks specious.
Also, if you haven't already, read The Puzzle Palace. US gov't wiretaps and surveillance has been going on for a LONG TIME, long before "soft" Obama. We have also been spying on friends and foes (and overthrowing gov'ts and influencing elections, btw) for a long time. And don't get started on Israel. Between Jonathan Pollard and the USS Liberty incident (Israelis KILLED American service personnel), they have not always been the best of allies with us. And you are deluding yourself if you don't think they are spying on us today.
Glad we have a real dude, a big swinging dick in the White House now. It is a complicated, messy, world. Hope he is up for the challenge.

It's funny how angry they get at me for simply posting what OTHER people have written. It is truly entertaining!

Embarrassing for Trump. No wonder our intelligence community doesn't trust him.
CBS Confirms Trump Brought His Own Studio Audience To Clap For Him At CIA Speech
CBS News confirmed reports that President Donald Trump brought a studio audience to his visit with the CIA on Saturday, January 21. The news agency reports that an official said the visit left a wake of "unease," “made relations with the intelligence community worse," and was “uncomfortable.”

You get your ass handed to you by facts (as usual), You fail to provide one lick of proof (as usual) to this completely asinine allegation. And all you can do is respond with yet another, "you're just a sore loser" response. Fucking WEAK!
That's why the FBI has asked the DOJ to refute Asshole's claims, doesn't matter who asked them the FACT is the FBI does not want to waste their time on yet another one of Asshole's fake made up bullshit.
By the way how's that investigation into the "Millions" of illegal voters going for you Know Nothings???

And - guess what - the Dept of Justice haven't answered the FBI. And why haven't they answered if there is nothing there. Now why is that? The FBI and the DOJ should be on the same page and they are not. Something is up.

Comey asked the WH/DoJ to publish his refutation and they refused. Ellen, do you ever check independent news sources or do you live in a alt-right, sketchy facts, bubble? http://www.npr.org/2017/03/05/518630...tapping-tweets
There is a firewall between the FBI and DoJ/WH to prevent undue politicization. They are not supposed to be on the same page.
Read the Economist article I previously posted.
If Trump did this simply to misdirect, without any backing facts, it really would be unprecedented. It weakens the office of the President and his credibility, not just here, but with allies (and enemies) abroad.

Huh? What kind of idiot response it that? I just pointed you in the direction of the NYTimes, WaPo, and the Guardian. Do you consider them to be right-wing conspiracy rags? Did you even watch the video link I posted for you? Does this Page 1 NYTimes story strike you as a looney conspiracy theory:
POTUS cannot order a wiretap. If Obama did - which I find incredibly hard to believe, and I am a centrist, not a liberal - then he just ruined his place in history. I don't think he would risk that for HRC. Can you try hard and think rationally as to a real motive or are you such an ideologue that it's not possible?
Ok, let's just stipulate Obama didn't “order” the wiretap but he knew about it, condoned it, and did nothing to stop his sympatico political appointees and subordinates in the DOJ and/or the intel agencies from pursuing it. As for motives, can you try hard to improve your reading comprehension? I already told you the motives in plain English:

You seem to have a conspiratorial mine (sic), so how best to prove to you that this is absurd? Special prosecutor, I say. If it ensnares many Dems/Reps from the swamp, so be it.
Looks like you'll get your wish. Just keep in mind that many members of the intel community are part of the swamp. Leaking transcripts of conversations obtained through FISA wiretaps to the media is a very serious felony.
You also didn't answer the question on why you lurk here. Its (sic) not like you are providing cogent, believable insight to enlighten fair minded thinkers.
I'm not a lurker. If I read a stupid comment, I don't lurk, I respond.
Now listen up, I'm only telling you this once.
Yssup Rider (aka “assup”) is a YUGE eccie spammer. He hangs out in the Political Forum and tries to piss everyone off. He was dumb enough to bet Hillary would win. When assup lost that bet to my fellow yinzer Bambino, he had to leave the Political Forum for 90 days. So what's the first thing the dipshit does on Nov. 9? He starts spamming the Pittsburgh sandbox to annoy us.
After a month of dealing with his bullshit in Pittsburgh, Bambino and I noticed he was also starting a lot of stupid threads in this here Austin sandbox. So that's how we got here. Then we encountered some colorful but confused characters like you and Cappy and Millsy and pussycat, et al. The only one of yinz who has any common sense in this forum is David.Douchehurst - he's the real deal.
Now you know. Happy?

Btw now that I see you read the Economist, my opinion of you just went up a notch.

Sorry buddy, but I generally refrain from engaging in a "debate" on any Internet forum; especially a political debate on a "hooker" website where obvious handle retards flourish. Some handles here are friendly enough for polite conversation; you have chosen a different persona for your handle, consequently my handle chooses not to engage your handle in a conversation.
If that means that my handle gets its ass handed to it; then I am fine with that. I'm not on some personal vision quest here. Your insults aren't directed at the person typing, they are directed at the handle I am using. It's all pretend. Like politics.
