Good place for you to hang out whackoff, you fit right in. I was speaking about police video that had no sound, and they couldn't explain why, fucking jerk. Are all you wingers stump dumb. or just like making an ass of yourself?
what's to hear? other than several cops yelling "drop your weapon and lay down!"
what's to see? another dindu nuffin high on {forbidden subject} disobeying the law.
You're probably right. I see this happening, cops will stop patrolling the black neighborhoods, and they will take their merry time getting to a pressing call in a black neighborhood. They don't want to be a news story. It's really a shame because residence in the black community are just as entitled to police protection as anyone else. I'll tell ya this when cops aren't getting public support they shut it down, they stop working.
Jim
of course they'll stop patrolling certain areas. so that they can become worse than "sanctuary zones" ... "lawless zones"
if, as some have suggested, you put all black cops in those areas, they'll face the exact same conditions as the current cops. and they'll likely react the same way. Let's see Al Sharpturd spin that.
OK, so now you're saying killing youngsters is actually good for a community?
Jim? Bueller?
I didn't say that. But, I am sure you wish I did. Cops have a crazy job. The people they deal with are often times at their worst. They have to deal with that. There is such a thing as a police culture especially in large cities like Chicago. These guys aren't going down behind some bullshit. If city officials and the public at large aren't behind them they simply shut it down. All over the country police are public enemy number one especially in the black community. It takes guts to roll the streets in Chicago behind the wheel of a squad car or any city for that matter. Sometimes they have to shoot someone. All shootings by police are investigated justified or not they don't need the publicity. So if you need to call the police and they don't show up when you think they should have remember this post.

Jim
only those who have served in combat have the highest honer of service to America. and many in law enforcement are veterans of military service. cops are the second highest level of service there is. how many bankers or finance geeks show up at work knowing someone whats to kill them?
i'll say this again .. only combat soldiers are above cops in their service to America's security.
I see my comment from yesterday didn't make it....so here we go again.
The video is pretty damning but the trial will go something like this;
Prosecutor: Why did you shoot 16 times?
Cop 1: I felt my life was in danger so I fired until I thought the danger was over.
Prosecutor: Why DIDN'T you fire?
Cops 2, 3, and 4: We didn't feel our lives were in danger.
or
Cops 2, 3, and 4: We also felt our lives were in danger.
Prosecutor: So why didn't you fire?

We have had these dialogues before ...... in this or other forums ...
The real answer is that he was afraid for his wellbeing and when he was firing he was not counting, and ....
.... there is going to be testimony that at least one other officer fired his weapon, but did not continue firing when he or she was aware that another officer was continuing to fire.
I guess all the "seasoned Monday-morning combat veterans" posting in here have a clear recollection of COUNTING ROUNDS when firing under stress and fear for their life.
Another comment from THE VIDEO ... it appears to me that this "youngster" was taller and bigger than the cops ...... When the media and posters on here want to slant the perspective they start minimizing the age with such words as "youngster" and "teenager" .... even other words to IMPLY EXTREME YOUTHFULNESS.
A 17-year-old wielding a knife is no different than a 27-year-old, except dumber!
i was going to point out that last night. military are trained to fire in short controlled bursts, police training sometimes refer to it as "tac-tac" .. where you shoot two to three quick but controlled shots then reassess before firing again.
so while i've changed my opinion on the use of force given what's coming out now, he did seem to forget the training police typically get in the heat of the moment and fire too many rounds. they'll try to use that against him at trial.
"Double tapping" in center mass is the standard for police shooting and depending on the training it should be instinctive firing. It's not a "hesitation" for assessment purposes, but in the process it should be visibly apparent that the threat is neutralized when the person is going down, particularly with a knife. Training goes out the window sometimes in live-fire situations ... and few officers who have fired multiple rounds know how many they fired.
Years back there was an incident with Houston PD on a traffic stop from a "chase" (pursuit) in which when the driver finally stopped he emerged from the vehicle holding something that was believed to be a weapon in front of a number of officers in the chase ... my recollection is 50+ shell casings were counted on the ground at the scene. What amazed me was that no onlookers/passersby were reportedly hit ... since it was on the freeway and he was "stopped" on the inside lane.
