Just tried OH2 on a whim, and was able to connect securely. Looked around a bit and intermittently was unable to connect securely, but refreshing a few times got a secure connection again.

I'm not sure if this is just the same thing that's been happening (and why some say it works fine, and for me it never worked), or if they've fixed something.

The better question is, why does ck1942 keep oh2 going to begin with? It doesn’t generate revenue on its own, other than maybe a few banner ads (I don’t even remember if that’s the case, it’s been so long since I’ve been able to visit the site). Unless he wants to dig deep into his own pocket to do a serious overhaul, he doesn’t appear to have a profit incentive to motivate him.

The site apparently means a lot to him, and it has served a purpose that isn’t adequately met elsewhere, so I hope he’s able to get the thing running again eventually.
